Question: is the latest story revision on the wiki, or on the google doc?

EDIT: the wiki is no more, unless epic7 has a backup of it. I'll ask him about it on FB.

I remember a fair deal of the story, and I think I had a more fleshed out version in the works, somewhere in the depths on my computer.

I'll continue as one of the head writers. (Or, er... I'll take HOMER-16's place) :P

I talked to epic7, and he says he might know where it is. I'll keep you posted there.

Also:
I'll nominate myself as the pimathbrainiac party nominee for head writer (as in, I wish to be one)

HOLY NECROUPDATE BATMAN!!!

Since this is starting back up again, I must warn:
DO NOT CLICK THE LINK to the wiki. The domain in which the subdomain resides is now just trying to get you to download malware.

I'm talking to epic7 right now to see what we can do to get the wiki up and running.

Three things:
One, I forgot to add AMEMKIT to the zip archive. The updated zip file is attached.

Two, SCREENIES!!! (Sorry for the scanlines, I PROMISE it is MUCH better on calc (as in, Wabbit sucks for gray > 4, or I suck at making wabbit's settings right))

Three, SPASM is included so you can use the example image viewer with your own pictures. Read the README :P

I just added some ease-of-use functions to the lib. I'll upload as soon as I can.

Also: screenies as soon as I can

EDIT: attached the zip. read about the new functions in the README

Maybe, but I doubt it. Runer's lib is optimized for 4-level, and the way I got the 8 level done is different.

Also:

I noticed that the 8 level actually looks better without the interrupts because the interrupts are on their fastest setting, so I would need slightly slower interrupts to make it better with interrupts.

TI Z80 / G8LIB - 8 level grayscale lib for Axe!

I've wanted to make 8 level gray for a long time, as in A REALLY LONG TIME, and my assembly skills are too n00bish, so I needed to do it in Axe.

After PMing with the king of grayscale himself, thepenguin77, I got a way to do 8 level, but that wasn't good enough for me to settle with.

I decided to make a library using his routines with the ability to be used with the TI 83+, and the TI-84+ (optional crystal timer interrupt routines (which I got from Runer112's pastebin))

Included in the attached zip are the LIB, and an example picture viewer and accompanying programs and utilities.

No screenies yet, as I am on my bad PC, but I'll attach some as soon as I get on my good one!

SCREENIES! (that suck because I suck with wabbit's settings... MUCH better on-calc)

Axe / How do I make a variable selection menu?
« on: August 30, 2013, 10:58:16 am »
Hey guys!

I'm trying to make a program in axe to display 8 level gray images. However, I need to know a routine.

I would like to make a menu routine to detect and then have the user select prgm variables that start with a specific two byte sequence (tbd). I know this is possible (at least with appvars, and you can use prgm variables with nothing but data for the same purpose) because I've seen it in other axe applications, such as builderboy's portal prelude level editor.

How is this done?

Thanks for the help in advance!

Yes, that's true. I believe that a game with a similar mechanic (minus the bloxel) is Monday Night Combat.

The bloxel will add a strategy element as well as multiple planes of gameplay (tunneling, building above, etc.).

855
Interesting, is this like a Minecraft clone?

No, It's like a MOBA (DOTA, LoL, etc.) with FPS and minecraft elements.

The first step in the engine is bloxel (MC), then FPS, then MOBA.
