Your idea would be great, except that the programs that use the libraries would not be compatible with someone that doesn't have the libraries. I think that these libraries should be automatically included in the OS, but you should need an external application to access them (just like the extra variables on the TI-84).

Like the MATH menu on the TI-84, not the apps menu: there is an up and down dimension, and left and right (in a program).

Tokens like sin( are length 1 when put into a string on the TI-84. This can be annoying sometimes, because they appear as 4 characters. I think the OTZ80 should take sin( as 4 characters when using the length( command. It would be cool if you had routines like toUpperCase and toLowerCase for a string.  Also, it would be good if you could convert from number to string and vice versa, or better yet be able to add a number and a string to get a string. Two-dimensional menus are a must, in my opinion.

I also changed my vote to 50 mhz. However, this calculator is aimed for "average" students, so make sure it isn't too hard to underclock the processor.

This is great! I got 58 on my first try. However, there should be an option to make the paddle shrink more quickly (like every 3 hits instead of 5), and you should be able to customize the starting paddle width. Other than that, though, this is the best pong game I have ever tried!

So, the LCD should be around 3 inches x 2 inches, and we need to decide on a resolution. Personally I prefer 216*144 or 180*120, because the numbers have a lot of factors, which can be important when finding a perfect size for the numbers and letters (maybe 9*12 pixels and 6*8 for small text). I think that the clock speed should be around 24 mhz. And yes, the keyboard should definitely be ABCDE format. I am already better with that than QWERTY.

Instead of the password during the test, my suggestion is that there be an option similar to press-to-test, but better. The teacher can disable all programs and apps for a given amount of time (like 45 minutes) during a test. After that, you will be able to use the programs again. This way, nothing is deleted, and you can still use your programs after the test or if your ports are broken. If you can implement an accurate timer into the calculator, it would be nice.
