Hehe, I have worked on these songs for months, perfecting my earlier release. Some do not have source, sadly , due to my bad habit of deleting the source

tell me what you think!

NOTE: Clockwork is my favorite and, imo, the best song made by me. Check it out  ;D
EDIT: Need DCS and MT3 player, btw
EDIT2: Wait, you can also use quadplayer's .exe, but it will sound a bit different http://benryves.com/bin/quadplayer/quadplayer-windows-plus-mt.zip

Other Calculators / Oh dear, what could this mean? Let us speculate!
« on: February 06, 2011, 11:10:11 am »
Well, I was talking with the calc teacher at my school, and she said something very interesting when I mentioned something about 2.2...

it was something like "TI is planning a BIG thing with the nspire, a new OS, but that is not all, they are planning something even else. I cannot tell you more other than it comes out after Winter Break, but it is going to be extremely different and HUGE"

what could this mean   O.O O.O

TI Z80 / Compat8x

Hello,
I'm announcing the first project for KnightOS. When it's done, I'll get started on Compat8x. Like Wine for Linux, Compat8x will be a compatibility layer allowing TIOS programs to run under KnightOS. I will support PartesOS as well when it's released, and the reverse (KOS on TIOS) could also be possible. How it works is this (for TIOS on KOS):
The program is copied to RAM twice. Compat8x looks through the first copy for CALL, JP, and LD. I'll talk about that in a moment. It needs to know if a given address lies within the program, and that can be calculated like so:
TIOS programs run from $9D95
If a program is $200 bytes, all addresses between $9D95 and $9F95 are internal.
Compat8x will set aside RAM that will mock SafeRAM from TIOS. When it encounters a load, if it is external, it changes the address to the corresponding mocked SafeRAM. If it's internal, it changes to the second copy in RAM.
Compat8x will also keep a jump table that leads to the KnightOS equivalent routines to commonly used bcalls. All external cals/jps/bcalls/bjumps are changed to their corrponding values in the jump table.

I know it wouldn't be perfect, but it could allow few programs to run.

apparently SirC could not make it to post here because there is no copy-paste feature on his phone  :w00t:

Site Feedback and Questions / A quick suggestion

Do you think we can bring back the "New replies to your post" button? The "Recent Activity" button is annoying to use and I end up losing place of any topics I posted in, which has lead to the lack of interest to even bother posting in Omni these days....

Is it? I mean, we have a NES emu and the NES was much more complicated, so I wouldnt expect this to be that hard  ::)

Discuss (oh and think we should start with the 2600 and found over here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_2600)
