So I can't use brandonW's fake ram reset program because it resets ram as well.  This means I will lose TI boy saved data.  Are there any other fake ram reset programs or programs that will hide my apps?
ti 84+ OS 2.55 MP.  I will not degrade, epic fail does have a chance of breaking my calc

Hi,

Is this project still actively developed?

And I think you should put in the readme that the apps only take up a little less then half of what they should.  Example, mega man, 655 kb, when I put it on my 84+, it's only 278.

Schools are definitely pretty safe when it comes to getting things stolen where I come from.  Public Transit could get risky.  I probably shouldn't play on a crowded train and watch out whenever the doors open (steals calculator, runs out door, only way of getting away with the robbery).

However, it's a calculator.  Have you ever heard of someone getting their calculator stolen.  Really, would you rob someone's calculator if you were a thief?  This is my opinion, but you all seem to disagree.  Maybe it is different in certain countries or regions?

And there is no way someone can steal it while it is in my backpack.  I always have it in the front pocket, so I can feel it against my back.  Don't reach back for your calculator, its the best way for it to be stolen.  You are alerting thieves to the fact that you have something valuable there.

General Calculator Help / Re: My calculator cannot receive a new OS
« on: October 27, 2012, 05:03:51 pm »
Installed 2.55 MP alright.  It turns out the os I had been trying to install was not 2.55 MP at all!  The default os in the ti connect directory is 2.22.  I quit trying to install 2.43 after a few attempts and tried instsalling the one in the ti connect directory (2.22 as I mentioned before.)

So then I downloaded 2.55 off the website, installed fine.

Thank you all very much.

General Calculator Help / My calculator cannot receive a new OS

I tried sending os 2.43 to my calc, but it failed.  Now my calculator has no os.  Whenver I try downloading os it gets to validation and then error: turn on to turn unit off, then turn back on.  What do I do?  I've tried multiple computers.

If I am playing ti boy, megaman.  What about if I am wearing my earbuds and listening to the music of the ti boy?

I don't really want to use it if I have to downgrade.  Having my calculator in it's best state to do math and work is a priority.  I will look around for a program like this on the internet though.

Edit: Never Mind, my priority should be not getting caught.  I couldn't find any other programs to fake ram reset.

I got the adapter at radioshack today, it cost me eight bucks.  I think it is pretty cool, but the music in megaman sucks, total junk.

One more thing.  Could I buy an adapter to listen to the sound at walmart or home depot?  Do I need to buy it online?  What exactly is it called?
Is the sound thing just a joke or is it real?
And how much would an adapter cost?
Do you recommend buying one to listen to the sound?

This is good news.  By the way, ti boy hasn't ram resetted once yet.  This is pretty amazing, consider super mario ram resets every time I die (on a certain level I've played).

Oh yeah, and is it neccessary to zoom in all the way to get a good resolution, or is there another way.  It is very fun, but it would be a bit better if I could see everything.

Yes, I do pay attention in class.  I hardly ever play on my calculator now that the school year has started.  Maybe during my lunch  break and on the bus.  Once, I played on my calculator when our teacher gave us a short five min. break.  That was the only time he saw my calculator.  One month later, on my report card, "not paying attention in class, touching his calculator all the time."  WTF?  Moral of the story: never let your teacher see you playing on your calculator.

You may be wondering why I am asking for a stealth app.  It is because I was playing during my lunch break, and a teacher walking past gave me a dirty look and told me to put it away.  Also, one of my teachers saw me doing something (he doesn't know what) on my calc.  And know he watches me very carefully in class.  He is an avid coder, and has posters of the ti calc hanging in his classroom.  It won't take him long to bust me if he searches my calculator.  Especially since ti boy generates APPS, first place anyone would look for a game.

So is ti boy more dangerous than regular ti basic gaming, or just the same.  I know ti basic gaming won't break your calculator.

But, I must know, how likely is it to permemnantly "brick up" my calculator?
