It sounds like a good idea. It would just be very hard to implement. You'd have to check when the last post was if the user had read it and find a random thread to do that in.

OmnomIRC Development / Mixed up posts
« on: May 15, 2011, 07:02:30 pm »
Today I saw that on omnom it does not always report the same order for posts as XChat does.
This is what I saw on omnom

[16:55:49] <ruler501> it checks once a mnute
[16:56:01] <ralphdspam> i'm fine.  Really, It seemed faster than that.
[16:56:02] <Kyurel> Thought so
[16:56:31] * shmibs has quit IRC (Quit: o-bye-thur, peeps )
[16:56:32] <ruler501> at least thats what netham said

This is what I saw on XChat

This isn't a real big bug just kind of annoying when I'm switching back and forward between omnom and XChat I can't find things as well because they're in a different order

I did that. How do you get key inputs?

I have a simple output and ClrHome functions working now(sound familiar_)

EDIT: I forgot the code to send a python program to the android emulator. does anyone know what it is?

I was right in my guess. I figured the new OS wouldn't be out before the 20th. lets see if I'm wrong

You have to set it to be root. Its probably just admin right now.
You can either try doing tit in the terminal(I don't remember how right now. ask on the ubuntu help channel) or make yourself root. If you make yourself root you should use a different account for most things. You could also make a new root account. up to you really

Are you a root user?

synaptic or terminal depends if you want gui.
If you aren't completely ure of the package name use synaptic

EDIT: don't get OpenOffice it randomly crashes at least in linux mint 10 which is almost the same thing as Ubuntu 10.08
Anyone know what the most stable of these three are?

It is not the fact that there is no distractions at night becasue I have times liek that in the day quite often. It is something else that lets code in the time period 0f 1-3am be the best fastest written code

My dreams are crazier during the day, but they become very realistic at night letting me get them done

That sounds good but complicated to make.

You have to use synaptic for some of these things though.

Its hard enough to write a basic program in python for it. I don't want to even think about witing a whole language for it

I personally would say get codeblocks(all around IDe good for almost any language I use) If you use python make sure you download all of the modules you need and the correct versions of those modules

I have been learning C/C++ but still have a long way to go. I'll just be ideas and bugchecking/tester if I can't do anything else
