General Calculator Help / Re: I need oslauncher cas before the SAT test!« on: January 28, 2012, 05:41:54 pm »Yeah, at college where I live, graphing calcs aren't even allowed. If they are, most people will use TI-82 and 83+ calcs. We have to learn how to calculate matrixes, limits, derivatives and all those stuff the Nspire CAS can do by hand. Kinda hard, I agree, but it's doable. thats a good school we arent allowed cas either, and i hate any formula i need to solve with my calc such a trouble to use it, algebra isn't hard if you do it a lot, and you will just see those things 52

it returns 1 but where does it return the 1 to?
to the number so it can go into the factorial or does it return 1 to i dunno? 54
Computer Programming / Re: Recursive function« on: January 27, 2012, 04:08:28 pm »
i dont see anywhere it will fill in the 1?
or will it automatically do when returning the 1 , number =1? 55
Computer Programming / Recursive function« on: January 27, 2012, 03:53:18 pm »
So im followign a guide but i dont get it
let say we have def factorial(number): if number <=1 #base case return=1 else: return number*factorial(number-1) the return 1 part wont it keep continue repeating the process of putting 1 in the factorial to infinty? or am i reading it wrong? or if it returns 1 then that means no matter what factorial(x)= 1 ?? 57

f1(x)=x^2
option zero i get x=0 but lets say i;ve got a formula which has a decimal x. like x=3.14523232 I would like to store it to use in my calculations. 59
