Like a pic you made on calc?

Wow I didn't realize how many Canadians we had here! That is really cool! I've only been there once, but I'd love to go back (maybe finally have that massive calc/comp programming meet up)
Anyways! Welcome to Omni! I hope you enjoy your stay 560

Yeah I realized that while making them, we might have to get rid of some things to get it to work well.

How about Steel
anyways here are the sprites I have so far, I apologize if any of it looks messy, but I had to re design a lot of it because the originals were big and when I made this in 16x16 (a little big, but if you can make it look good smaller, go ahead) it looked weird. so let me know what you think 562

Wow I like how this is coming along! Nice work guys.

Well you see, I do a lot of spriting designed for greyscale, but I never actually put any greyscale on calc, so I decided to check out some tutorials and that is what I got I'm actually excited it turned out pretty good so because I used a tutorial to learn greyscale, I must say
Thank you so much ephan! Really good tut! 564
TI Z80 / Re: 2-3 person project?« on: January 14, 2012, 11:23:25 pm »
yeah thats cool or TI metal I guess, but I usually am not a fan of TI 'blank' names. but it sounds fine.
Oh, and i have some more sprites done but as for the main one, I'm under the impression TBO is making it. but if you start on the engine, feel free to just use a random sprite for now and Parser, just keep your eye on this project and if you see something you want to do, you can do it 565
Other Calculators / Re: Seeker« on: January 14, 2012, 11:08:28 pm »
actually i added a pause in because it was TOO fast! so speed is'nt a problem, and it took maybe 10 minutes to make that its actually my 1st use of greyscale!

Yeah I think I'll tile map Seeker 2. not sure on the grey scale yet.

So after making Seeker, I decided since I make a lot of platformers, it was time to work on some tile mapping and greyscale. That way the next time I make a platformer it will look a whole heck of a lot better! They will probably look more like the below A lot better then the graphics in Seeker
Go Coding! 568

Too be honest I got lazy, sorry, BUT You can expect a sequel (from the perspective of the body) hopefully with a more levels lol. I might add more to this one later, but I'm busy with Metal Slug right now

TI Z80 / Re: 2-3 person project?« on: January 13, 2012, 05:05:45 pm »Wow, nice. Really. Could you do the player sprite, so we could start working on movement, physics and all that stuff (start coding in other words).Well you need to ask TBO about that, cause he told me to do a few ones so I think he is doing those. edit: also I think we should start a thread that we can use to share the parts we finish and updates, so we are doing Metal Slug? Cause they are a LOT of sprites and I (and TBO) don't want to make them until it is for sure? 570
TI Z80 / Re: 2-3 person project?« on: January 13, 2012, 11:14:09 am »well like i said i strongly recommend scripting it. and building the engine around that. will take a lot of preplanning but will make it so much easier in the end (and easier to debug as well )What exactly do you mean by scripting ? Storing organized data in appvars ? Because making a whole parser on a calc would be difficult.Yeah I think we could try that then We'll have to see what Parser, TBO, and Raven think about it, and of course what all of us are best at in coding.Wow, nice sprite, and really recognisable despite the tiny size. But I don't like the leg anim too much, maybe with a third frame it would be smoother ? Ok I can do that, but it will take up more bytes when in grayscale edit: ok here is 3 frames ...it will look a lot better when moving and the pixels are changing on calc |
