Wow! I just discovered this! It's really fun to use! How does the program tell what to say? Is it solely based off the responses of others?

My parents always make me do my school work first, and then allow me to program. Also, they want me to not waste my time doing little projects - they want me to make something no one else has ever done before, something that will make people reading my college application really go "wow". I totally agree with them on this, and I've been thinking of what I could make, but I don't have any ideas My parents made me do violin until last year, allowing me to quit because this year I'm getting a lot more homework.

What do you mean spending at most 20 bucks? Does that mean they only pay for up to 20 dollars? If it's just any calculator for free, I'd recommend an Nspire CX or the version of the Nspire right before that. The CX is in color and doesn't have the keypad connectivity issues previous calcs had, but the version before runs OS 2.
Edit: I noticed the way you spelled Nspire isn't correct. The first letter of Nspire is capitalized, not the second.

I'm hoping to get a job next summer so I can buy a computer myself too. I might grade papers on Art of Problem Solving if they hire me because I'm too young for most other jobs.

waw i am not folding anymore as my cpu cant take it.. i7 965 meh ppd is so low and it takes 3 days to complete to be exact >100 hours 400ppd FTW
>1hour/%
Yeah I agree with toxic_kitten, that is definitely too low. (it takes me 9 minutes per percent, folding on my inferior processor) Even if you were folding single core, it should be maybe 30 minutes per percent. Back then, I used to get 10-12k ppd on my i5 2500k and 9-10k ppd on my GTX 460.
I am soooo jealous of your hardware! (runeazn, you too!) My dream was to build my own desktop since maybe 6 th grade, and my parents never will pay for it. (They can buy me all the laptops they want because of a special university deal, although that's not something that should be abused) Did either of you build your own computer? If so, do you overclock?

Yes, Folding@Home is massively powerful. Wikipedia says it's the fastest "computer" in the world (I'm not so sure about that though, since the K computer is at 8.162 petaflops, while Folding@Home is at 4.155 petaflops) Perhaps these petaflops point to different architectures that shouldn't be compared? I don't know.

I fold and am currently still on the default team. I just got into the top 200,000, with 35369 points. (yay!) I only fold when I am on or at least am in front of the computer. The only computer that contributes to me is my laptop, one that has an i7-620M (2 cores, 4 threads) and a Nvidia Quadro NVS 3100M. I run the SMP core on my CPU, and unfortunately my GPU is not supported, although it can run CUDA code. (My GPU is so rare that they didn't bother to add it to the compatibility list) Link to SammyMaX

When you call it, it waits until a key gets pressed and then gives you the key code.
Okay, thanks. I'll try it out.

TI-Basic was where it all started for me... and then C++, Java, C#, Perl, C, and Lua. It was a nice language to get me into thinking in code.

I hate apple for 5 reasons:
1. their prices
2. their prices
3. their hardware
4. their prices
5. their hardware
And yes, I think the'll take over the whole world. Probably by saying that we violate their precious copyright every day when we say: "I have an apple for lunch."
What's wrong with the hardware? I think Apple is one of the best quality companies in the WORLD.
No, their hardware isn't that good at all. For me, and for most people, shiny aluminum does not equal high quality - what is in the inside matters. Take the iPhone: Apple is one company and can't afford to release a new phone every month. But, there are many companies making Android phones, so they can adopt new technologies much faster. Take the HTC Sensation - unibody aluminum construction, two cameras, and a dual core processor. It blows the iPhone 4 out of the water. As for computers, Macs really SUCK. Try this mac versus this custom pc. One graphics card versus two superior ones? Nehalem versus Sandy Bridge? Apple gets destroyed in the computer segment. As for the iPad 2, I have nothing against that, because it has roughly the same specs as an Android tablet (although quad core Androids are to come out soon) and there are many more apps for the iPad.

I sometimes lucid dream, but usually (like the one I posted) I don't know what I'm dreaming. That was also one of the few dreams I remembered.

I was in this town with some of my friends. We were all outside of school during a break and suddenly we all ran away from the school monitor. The person chased us back, and for some reason she wasn’t really angry. Suddenly the town got a lot darker and spookier like it was turning to night. I noticed where I got captured back (still outside of school) was next to a Mobil gas station. I jumped up and grabbed the ledge of the gas station and heaved myself up easily like I was in a nanosuit (Crysis, anyone?) I noticed all the gas stations in the town were arranged in an ‘L’ shape, so I saved the game (really weird I know) and then I jumped from one station to the next. Somewhere in the middle I heard my English teacher say to one of her students, “You know what that is? It’s called Russia jumping.” At the end I did a super jump and jumped around 50 feet horizontally and fell 20 feet down, but I was fine. I landed right next to a friend of mine and we talked about how awesome my hops were. I then had the feeling someone was going to light the gas stations on fire to kill me because they didn’t like the jumping I did, so I ran across a street and met another friend of mine, who said something like: “You know what else is interesting? Page 529 in your textbook…”
And then I woke up.
