General Calculator Help / Re: MY TI NSPIRE CX CAS - PROBLEMS
« on: July 01, 2011, 11:48:08 am »
Maybe just ask him how to send an .tns file to your calculator. Or better that it does not seem to work with THEIR software. And they have no reason to play stupid(formulate this a bit more polite  ;)) just because you encountered this problem while trying to send a .tns containing a game... since it could have been stuff for school! what you're trying to seen(at least in theory).

News / Re: TI adds anti-3rd-party Lua game protection in OS 3.0.2
« on: May 19, 2011, 02:41:13 pm »
sure it's in every case something that is...
but its a faster alternative than using two nspires (it takes about 15 seconds)as long as we have no other "possibilities"

Nice.
But how does on get boot1?
I know that there is a dumper for ndless1 out there
but I think that to try to use it on a touchpad could be complicated

you can also open an "unencrypted" tns file whit the software if you have a 3.0.1 version of it, then re-save the document and you have a lua file who works on 3.0.2

TI-BASIC / Re: Simple (I think) programming question
« on: May 02, 2011, 05:11:53 pm »
you can define a function in a program with
:define function_name(parameters) = function_body
example:
:define a(x)=x^2
or by
:function_name(parameters) := function_body

also you can normally do also calculations in an "disp" argument if a clear term comes out.

Yes, it reads any plain text format, and thats what .txt is. For now it uses CP-1252 encoding (the default one of Windows)

(Necro)update:

I'm happy to announce that, after a long time of nothing, I'm now releasing beta-V0.2 of nwriter.
It mainly adds the possibility to navigate freely through your text, even if it doesn't fit on one page.
(I admit it's still a bit buggy if your line breaks are natural ones and not \n )

The size is limited for now ( mainly because I'm to lazy to check what the max would be ) at:
0x600 lines and 0x4000 characters. ( If you need more, simply change line 122 and 138 of nwriter.c )

This now are my current Milestones:
0.2    full navigation (this version)
0.3    default font hardcoded; remember settings
0.4    file browser(+extensions check); general code clean-up
0.5    syntax highlighting (lua+c); key remapping

If you want to lookup my current progress, just have a look at the SVN at the NspireForge,
there also you can find the binary of v0.2 or somewhen a later version.

Just in case you want to know, nwriter is released under the gpl license (v.3+).

I hope there are no bugs, but if there are please post them, and any other feedback is even more welcome.

News / Re: TI-Nspire OS 3.0 Released: Nleash no longer working
« on: April 08, 2011, 04:41:54 pm »
3.0 OSes are back.
We should check if anything has been changed...
I checked both the .cer's and the whole .tnc whit an hexeditor, result: identical.
