This looks awesome Builderboy :o  Could you post some of the code so we can see how weird the matrix is?

I'm thinking in terms of short-term memory. (RAM). If you have a complex list as the entire map and parse two rows at a time into matrices and have no need to re-display the entire map, this could make a very memory-efficient Tactics clone.
With this kind of program, RAM usage should probably take a back seat to speed issues.

Because its fast and fast trumps all
Not always ;)

May I be considered? I would like to think I have the skills and I'm willing to show my skills if necessary. :)
BTW, I will be more active now that my internet is back.

You have to PM DJ Omnimaga:
If you meet these requirements and are interested in contributing to the team, simply send me a private message and I will look into your application.

News / Re: Omnimaga Contest deadline for entry submissions reached
« on: August 27, 2009, 09:19:35 am »
Even though there is more than one entry in each category, there aren't enough to warrant the originally planned public poll.  So unless noah was sent at least two more entries for one category the judging process will be done entirely by DJ Omnimaga, noah, and myself.

sweet! I can't wait!
I'm also glad there are no defaults, that really sucks if you don't win against anybody
While that's true, if somebody won by default I might have been able to talk my way out of paying for the prize.... j/k

I am more surprised that in one of the second biggest economic power in the entire world, they still got areas stuck with only dial-up x.x
I believe almost everyone in the US could have access to high speed internet, but many people choose dial-up.  There are many areas where there simply aren't any cables/lines setup for high speed internet, and satellite internet companies charge exorbitant prices.  Lately I've also started seeing commercials for dial-up stating things along the lines of "in this economy, why pay more for high speed internet when you can get dial-up for dirt cheap?"

I don't even remember the link to the peanut bag x.x
Everyone's (mostly) been using the bags hosted on my photobucket account (which I won't reveal here so my chances of being the peanut giver are higher :P )

why do i always get a domain error when i run this program?
I think you need to initialize X and Z first, since you might be trying to change a pixel with non-integer/negative/big coordinates.

All he has to do is become an Omnimaga member :)

how'd you do that rickrolling thing in your signature
To edit your signature, hit "Profile" (it's in the bar with "Home", "News", "Downloads", etc.), and then on the side bar hit "Forum Profile Information".  Scroll down a bit and you should see a text entry field for a signiture.

If you're question was about the picture (actually, his is an animated GIF) cooliojaz has in his signature, he has it hosted on another site which he links to.  If you go to a site like http://photobucket.com or mediafire.com and set up an account (they're free) you can upload a picture and then use the image link/tag they give you to link to it.
