Many of you who come on IRC already know this but next sunday august 16th most of my free time is disappearing as I'm going here http://www.ossm.edu/ . I get 1 regular weekend a month which I may come home on but may stay and hang out with people and one extended weekend where I get kick out for 3 days so they can clean it. I don't get access to computers for the first 6 weeks then if my grades are good enough I can bring a laptop and use it one hour each day.
Um.... will you be able to judge the contest?  It ends two weeks from tomorrow.

Sorry for offtopicness and necropost, but I just noticed this post right now. I always found it strange that in english, it skips "milliard".
Wow, I didn't even know milliard/billiard/... even existed.

Does anyone want to be included? Is there any interest? ... Does anyone need help in making their profile?
My answers to all these are "yes", but with emphasis on the "help in making their profile" part.  Could you give some description of the story so far or an example profile so we could see what you're looking for?

Also, do the characters have to be serious/semi-believable or can they be a bit more out there?  The reason I ask is that every time I think to myself "what would a snjwffl look like" I see this image of an anthropomorphized squirrel (I'm not kidding about this).

as admin, I think he has the ability to not show edit notices, or when replying he got a warning about a ninja post
I don't think even admins can hide the "edited by... at..." tag.  The reason I knew about noah's post is that when I hit "preview" right before posting, the top post on the Topic Summary thingy said "new".  I did, however, hit submit and then edit the post, but since the post was just a few seconds old the "edited by" didn't show up.

I think it depends of the people, though. A lot of people stop calc stuff during summer, even if they have no camping or stuff that prevents them any access to it or the usage of it. They just try or do other stuff. You can easily tell that these people don't care about the TI community THAT much. They're usually the ones who do the least amount of programs (if any finished games at all) and the ones who leave faster.
Most of my posts on forums (or at least UTI and TI|BD) are for helping people and answering questions, which get me thinking about other calculator things (usually my projects).  So when summer comes and all the forums die down, there aren't many problems for me to work on and so calculators aren't as prominent in my mind.

I'm probably the odd one on this though ::)

Even worse: when the recent backups are corrupted (maybe viruses and stuff) x.x
...or when you used a buggy version of TILP to do the backing up...

So, when do backups not work?  When you accidentally delete them! :D ... :'(

It wasn't the backups for the game, so its better than it could be, but it will take some time to replace them.  I had a 50*10 text sprite image for the main screen.  Along with the entire opening cut scene.  I wrote down the dialogue, so thats not a problem, but I have to redesign the pirate ship and rewrite the dialogue text subpogram...
That sucks, but at least you didn't lose the game.  I have a separate folder named "xxBackups" (xx is the project name), and then each backup has it's own folder, which has the date/time in its name.

However, these additional 245 pics can't be transfered over the PC without grouping them, so that's something to think about. What I was wondering is how will you get around the picture limitation?
He could use this </shameless plug...>
