THE POST 13210369 Added more to the lists, to keep track of the status data instead of just using the equations and DV/XP, to speed up the displays and data recovery...

THE POST 13166981 Well, see, I won't be putting in the worthless info, and if memory serves, that is the POKEDEX, not the status info page

THE POST 13164672 While the idea is good, it makes the right side look cramped compared to the left side. I have most of the coding done to display the middle screenshot above, just have to add in the possible status effects. Anyone want to take a crack at making a static image I can use for the 2 or 3 pages that are used to deal with the pokemon in detail?? I won't be doing the location they can be found at, at least not yet. Oh, and currently the program takes up 337 bytes in RAM to create the boxes and display the text and fill the boxes. It shouldn't take much more to make the status displays come up.

THE POST 13163278 Weregoose had some splendid ideas, one of them being unintentional. The unintentional one was adding an exclamation mark next to a box that had low hp or has a status effect. The other you can see in these screenshots: First revision of the screen: Then adding an extra space between the boxes, removing the extra space that was added above the hp bar: And then adding another space inbetween the boxes from the last one: Just kinda lookin for opinions on them, so far it is unanimous to go with the middle pic...

THE POST 13163184 I made a comprimise, removing the HP amount, leaving the bar, and replaced it with status effects and lvl. Charmander is 1 of 10 that have a 10 char name, which is the longest given.

THE POST 13162417 That looks pretty good, but the only thing is, I am going to have the cursor in the middle to select the pokemon. If I do like you have it, I will have no room to put a cursor in.

THE POST 13160603 Well, how about a concept shot of the party screen? What do you all think?

THE POST 13152807 Well, saving the 6 pokemon party lists, with numbers as triple digits, caused the program to be 744 bytes in size. I still have a few more lists to add in, but this is looking far more encouraging than the 20k the saved data was taking up before...

THE POST 13136704 Heh, I was convinced by Iambian Well, I managed to get the "New Lists" program complete, now down to 273 bytes instead of the 800 bytes it used to be. Also saved 150 bytes by getting rid of all the lists and freeing up room in the VAT. I have also decided that I can have up to 35 pokemon per PC box, though it might be better to just have 30 per box, and have 7 boxes, which would give room for 210 pokemon, plus the 6 party pokemon. Any thoughts?

THE POST 13135667 Celtic 2 (linked to above) allows basic programmers to store data and recall data from a program or appvar. I am going to use programs to store the data, and if a pokemon is deposited and withdrawn, then I will manipulate the data as I need to.

THE POST 13134999 Yeah, I wont be saving near the amount of data I was before. And I won't have to unarchive huge lists to get just one little piece of data, as all I need for each pokemon will be right there in one list.
I hope to have lots of time on my hands tonight and get something done on it. I have everything wrote out on paper at the moment, so hopefully that will make things easier.

THE POST 13131065 Well... How to say this... I am terribly unhappy with the current saving system, and will most likely be just as unhappy with the speed of the continue system. To remedy this, I am going to rewrite the save syste yet again, but this time, I have an idea worth exploring each pokemon will have their own individual list. the 6 party pokemon will be saved to individual lists, while anything > than 6 will be stored to the PC boxes, just like in the original. This way, I won't have any problem with needing hundreds of lists, and a person can catch 2 of one type of pokemon. So, I will see about getting this set up, and this will hopefully cut saving time down to just a few seconds, instead of 2 minutes... -.-
