You could try copying the text, and making the font size 8 or whatever, and try printing that. That is how I did it for several tutorials that I printed off...

Well, a pixel art contest was too easy, as you could practically copy an image, greyscale it, and say it was yours. In this manner, we have to see code, and see it in action. This eliminates cheating, and forces programmers to think. ;)wink.gif

Much better than copying or anything.

We have restarted the pixel contests, though we have added a few new things to them. For starters, some of the contests may require you to actually program in an image, while others will be animated images.

Currently running is:

Create an animated flame of any size on the 83+, in BASIC, without the use of libs. We will be taking animated screenshots of this to allow you users to vote on your favorite, so do your best!!

Well, I am thinking about bringing back the pixel art contests, though I will be setting up some ground rules.

1) This has to be calc based. Basically, you send us a program to send to our calculators, or emulators, or a pic variable, so we can make sure this is something that is not just ripped off.

2) There will be still pixel art and animated art contests. When one is in progress, we will explicitly state which contest we are doing.

3) We would like all work to be original, no copying pics off the net.

4) The winner of the contest will be allowed a week to decide what to do next. After said week, the Admins will take over deciding, and will start with that.

5) Spellshaper is automatically banned from the contests, since he is a pixel-art god. (j/k about the banned part ;)wink.gif )

This pretty much covers it. If we find you are cheating, you will not be allowed to participate in future contests. Rigview programs are subject to how we feel about them when the contest is initiated. Always read the rules for the contest carefully!

Oh yes, and for the time being, the only prize we really have is the pixel art grouping. We might see what we can do in the future though.


So, anyone think they would be willing to participate in something like this??

I don't know if it's just my calculator, but the sprites are drawn in the incorrect spot. <_<dry.gif Instead of drawing in the "screen" of the pokedex, they are drawn in the logo part!

Actually, you got it wrong too.

Codex does what you do manually, it will archive and unarchive a program. Resource creates a temporary program of the file, whether in RAM or Archive.

Resource does not archive and unarchive programs, it takes a program, copies it into a temp program, and then you can execute it.

You should be able to get a grasp on how to use it there.

As to your first question, I am focusing on the menu right now. I have almost everything completed except for the inventory menu, and the Party menu. The rest of it is complete. I can't test the Inventory menu, until I have a Party menu, and I can't test the Party menu until you are able to get your first pokemon. So the next thing to do is add the interiors of the buildings, which I still have not done... -.-blah.gif

Also, if I get bored, I could spend some more time developing the maps, as that is the easiest part of making this game.

I am working on an idea to make the map program to be dynamic, though I might have to have the map data programs store the dimensions of the maps, I dont know quite yet.

And yes, I am expecting alot of things from pokemon myself. :)smile.gif
