Well, I need to do some more work to the game it seems... I must have missed a couple important things... <_<dry.gif *sigh*

AOD2 might get ported, though it relied on strings... If I come up with a way to get around that, I might make it... Though right now, I have two other calcs to port aod to, and optimize a third. ;)wink.gif

Ok, work on the signs has commenced, and I am thinking about using the same system that I am using for the maps, giving it sections, and all the sign text to be stored within one string for each section, and then I can use the sub( command with variables to determine which part of the text to pull from. :)smile.gif

More on this as it is finished...

I don't know what is up with that. :(sad.gif I can play it just fine on my calc...

Edit:

While looking at your screenshot, I noticed it doesn't ask for a name... Mine does as soon as you select NEW... I wonder if I didn't get one of the Finance variables changed over to a normal variable... Check the main program, to see what number it stores to what variable, when NEW is selected. Then check to see if it is the same variable in the program that is called...

Thanks. :)smile.gif

I only need to finish the in-game menu, and work on the maps, then I can release the new version. :)smile.gif It will be a definite improvement over the last version...

That is how he looks in the game... I set the contrast on my gameboy to show only the black and white, and use a lamp directly over the game boy to see each pixel. It is quite a pain...

And thanks for the compliments. :)smile.gif I have Prof Oak complete, and the intro is now close to being done. I just need the mini pics of the Pokemon used in Fire Red...

lol, oops. Thanks. :)smile.gif

And the reason I used W=1 was because I was manipulating the W variable, to turn it into a goto and lbl system. Then I stopped using it that way in this game...

I know about the messed up hair, but it gives you a general idea on what the character sprites will look like for dialogues and battles.

TI-BASIC / [GAME DESIGN] need advice with game stats
« on: March 02, 2006, 06:28:00 am »
Umm, lists is the best way to store stats, you could copy the list into another list, and when someone goes to start from a saved game, and the two lists are no longer the same, then you could display a message, saying that the data was corrupted, and would have to be deleted or something... :)smile.gif Keeps them from hacking as easily...

Complicated?? I always try to do things as simple as possible... But, I really didn't mess with the starting program that much, so some optimizing could be done...

Well, I had some ideas, but I didn't get them posted, because it was really late at night. What I had was the first version, and I had planned on improving upon it. No need now though... :)smile.gif
