AOD Series will surface on all z80 calcs, I think, except for the 73, 80, and 81, because I do not have those calcs to test on. And of course, the 83/83+ versions are now in a desperate state of needing optimizing. It is sad when the TI-82 runs a game faster than the 83+SE... :rofl:

Update: Thanks to Kerm Martian, I now have more characters to use to make maps. ^_^ http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/384/38404.htmlThat is the unedited version, of the program, I created a GUI for it, to make it more user friendly, and if TICalc would ever get off their dead arses and get it loaded... :flame:  Anyways, I have the in-game options menu set up, but I have to code the availability for the Pokedex, since you don't get it right away. What I am working on doing is using 2 variables, and first it checks to see if a certain event has transpired, then will show the options on the screen. One variable will show the start of the words, the 2nd the end of the options. This will make the program fairly dynamic. When I actually get it implemented though, is another story... And... I have been debating whether I want to continue this project, since there is someone makin a port of this game for the 83+ in Flash. I think I will continue for now, since he might not finish his version...

Well, here is a little bit of an update. I was playing around with the lists on my 82, and stupid me corrupted the save file, so I had to start over.   The good news is, I can play it trough to make sure the 22 bug fixes that I have completed thus far does not interfere with anything. ^_^ While playing around with the game, I fixed a problem that the 83/83+ version had with the battle system, where if the enemy had magic, it would automatically use its magic up trying to kill you, then go about attaking.   I have been slowly playing the game, as I work on my numerous other projects, maybe if I can just concentrate on it, and beat the game to my satisfaction, I can finally release it. (Sorry for any spelling errors, this is a new keyboard and I am just getting the feel for it...   )

lol, Mine was simple. I use variable T to keep track of where in the string. The most complex part of it was the moving to next screen, but it is still fairly easy...

Yeah, I have some theories on how I want to do that...   I will basically have it call a sub-program that will check to see what tile is being stepped on, and to see if it needs to check for enemies or not, and then goes about its logic tree...

I want to implement the actual Pokemon and a battle system before I worry about whether the character can be named or not... Right now, Pokemon Purple is nothing more than a tech demo, and there is nothing really to do in the game...
