I think you might just be doing it wrong. Try this:
1. Turn off your calculator, wait a couple seconds
2. Hold the restart button
3. While still holding the restart button, press F2, 4 then AC/On (MAKE SURE YOU DO IT IN THE SPECIFIC ORDER)
4. Let go of the restart button while still holding the other buttons
5. Let go of the buttons in this order, F2, 4, AC/On (The screen should be blank)
6. Press AC/On, then 9, then x

If this doesn't work then I don't know. Also important note, make sure you wait a couple seconds in between each step

Casio Calculators / Broken fx-9750 fls file?
« on: August 12, 2017, 08:08:43 pm »
I upgraded my fx-9750gii to the os of a fx-9860. I want to revert the os back to the original. When I converted my calculator, I made a backup. I think the backup is broken because it is 0 kb.
Does anyone have a copy of the os? Preferably the newest version.

I tried it but it didn't work. I'm guessing it doesn't work because the file size is 0 kb. My file has the same issue as yours.
The little square at the top. I think you might have to unplug the usb cable. That's what I did, then it worked

You can find some addins on casios website.

Click accept, scroll all the way down to the "fx-9860GII/fx-9860G series" tab. Then click on addins. The periodic table addin is called "Physium"

I also need your help. When I converted my fx-9750gii to a fx-9860gii, I made a backup of the fx-9750 os. But now that backup is corrupt.  :(
I was wondering if you could give me a copy of your fx-9750 os.
