the mario RPGs for the DS(Partners in Time and Bowser's inside story) they have a semi-linear plot(in both, you can go back to areas in which you were before with new abilities to unlock stuff), some bonus stuff, and an interesting plot. This is what I'd reccomend to anyone with a DS

Motherload? YES! I'd love to see this on calcs. It's even (relatively) simple, compared to many other games. your only problem might come with the boss, as it's different gameplay, really
