So that means that if I try again tomorrow or so, that will work again ?

Yep, and the day after tomorrow, it will stop working again. The only thing you can do is use IPv6, if your provider offers it.

92
If you're 100% sure your phone is clean, then it's probably due to your provider using "burned" IPs. Happens very quite often these days, especially with mobile connections. Providers simply don't have any good IPs left, so they quickly recycle ones that have been used for malicious purposes before, without even bothering to whitelist them with the various anti-spam agencies.

@tr1p1ea, that is so nice! I love demos that focus on story/message. Could you provide some more info, so I can add it to the list?

@DJ_O I'd include Axe for sure, and there's already an Axe demo on the list now. For Grammer I dunno, if it impresses graphically or otherwise, why not. I just opted not to include BASIC because most of what's out there is pretty crappy.
I only did that Texas Beeper Massacre thing, and I'm not including that cause there's no moving gfx or anything. I'm simply too stupid to code that kinda stuff. Btw if you liked TBM you'll be pleased to hear that I have another music collection in the works.

Missed this somehow. You guys are probably tired of me saying this, but I have to say again: This rules, especially the burning cube.

There is the cutting edge of axe by Matrefeytontias?

Ahh, so that's where that hot burning cube was from. Missed that thread somehow. Anyway, prod added to list.

There's rarely any talk about demoscene productions on here, so I thought I'd prepare a list of cool sh*t that has been made during the last ~20 years. My main motivation for doing this is because I hope people will be inspired to make more demos, rather than just games and utils.

In case you don't know what this demoscene thing is all about, read this for a start.

Note that the list contains full demoscene productions for Z80 TIs only. No BASIC, tech demos, or game demos. Also no 68k stuff, that should have its own topic.

Anyway, without further ado, let's roll.

Nice collection, DJ. May I ask who did that burning cube at 1:12? Looks awesome.

Also, I'm currently preparing a list with oldschool Z80 TI demoscene productions, since nobody talks about those here and people may not even be aware of some of the great stuff out there. The list should go online some time next week, before that I'll be offline for a couple of days till i have internet in my new flat.

haha nice! you should put it here: http://battleofthebits.org/arena/Battle/1475/Summer+Chip+III/
very few people have submitted midi so far this year, so you'd have a good chance of actually getting a trophy ;)

TI Z80 / Re: 4-Channel Interrupt-Based Audio (83+SE;84+;84+SE)
« on: July 18, 2013, 05:11:11 am »
Very impressive. Sounds great, especially considering it's interrupt-timed. Looking forward to the tracker! I'd also be very interested to see the source of the player, of course.

Yeah noise channel should be trivial to implement, by simply parsing a sufficiently pseudo-random part of the ROM - I usually use $3000 as a starting point. You might be able to save more CPU time though, by doing the "click drum" trick used in many ZX Spectrum routines. SpecialFX and Savage both pull their drums on interrupts, check the code included in Beepola if you want to know more.

Now, in case you were aiming for full GB sound emulation, to emulate the gameboy's wav channel on the other hand is something entirely different. It's probably doable with intersective pulse width modulation, but i doubt it will be possible with interrupts running.

Wow Xeda, this looks pretty awesome. I haven't looked into LCD updating at all so far, so I'm very happy to see this bit of fairly understandable code ;)

looking for a new flat since a month or so, it's starting to be a real pain in the a***. prices are insane here nowadays. but probably i'll sign a deal next week and then all will be good.
also i recently got myself a nice ti86, which i'm very happy about cause they're quite rare here in germany. so i'll be playing around with that. interestingly, despite not having batteries in it for a week, it still came with a preinstalled shell and a ton of games and utils... nice. have to check if there is any rare stuff on there.

Thanks guys, glad you're digging this. Any yup, I'm IP.

Most of us work on other old 8- and 16-bit platforms as well. Some actually have 20+ years experience in making chiptunes, yet others joined the scene just recently.
Factor6 and TDM are oldschool demosceners, they mostly work with ZX Spectrum 128K (AY soundchip). Factor6 actually uses a lot of different platforms, including C64.
Fluidvolt does mainly SNES and N64-flavored stuff.
Shiru is a rather famous ZX and NES coder (he actually coded one of the sound engines used in the compilation). Also, he recently released an awesome FM flavored synthrock album.
Mind Body Alpha is a piano player, he has only released 1-bit stuff so far.
Mister Beep does ZX beeper exclusively as well.
Warlord originally comes from the MOD metal scene. He worked with many different platforms in recent years, most prominently with Atari 8-bit (POKEY) and VIC-20.
Myself, I started on Atari ST but nowadays I do mainly 1-bit music, too. Hopefully I'll get around to making some SID stuff soon, though, been wanting to for years.

Check the links in the readme file for more great chiptunes :)

Howdy folx,

Some friends of mine and myself joined forces to release this epic compilation of Z80 1-bit chiptunes. Styles ranging from Blues via Prog Rock to 70s Electronica. All tracks have been composed on the ZX Spectrum 48K home computer. The album is available for free both as mp3 or in tap/scl format, for those who would to play the music on real hardware or in an emulator. Hope you enjoy!

I'm with Matrefeytontias, looks kinda weird for plasma. But I'm too stupid to do any demoscene fx so I shouldn't talk :P
