Art / Re: Can someone point me to a humanoid spriting tutorial?

I don't know where there's a good tutorial, but just remember almost all of the human body is in the golden ratio, and then approximate that into a common fraction.  ;)

well, at least it's triangle and quadrilateral drawing routines (which are pure works of genius, btw) are still being put to good use -- I'm using them in Z80GL with permission of Brian Coventry (he sent me the entire starfox source 2 months ago and said I can do whatever I want with it)

would you imagine the source is 100K, and over 2500 lines of pure code? (for starfox) O.O

I would believe that, given his reputation.  :P

and he posted it here: http://ourl.ca/6640/132234  ;)

lol, you notice it after it gets taken of the Major projects list.  Although it stopped being active ever since it was put on here IIRC.  :P

could you post your source here?
also welcome.  ;)

as for sprites, you can make them using paint and then convert them using Cemetech's SourceCoder: http://www.cemetech.net/projects/basicelite/sourcecoder2.php

Well, axe is a lot faster and better than basic, so I'm sure that the result will be good.
* jimbauwens starts thinking about a C port to compete with yunhua98
:P

that'd be great!  I'd be pushed to make it better.  XD

If you look around the old portions of this forum, you'll notice a user named allynfolksjr  Thats Nikky, he's pretty much a troll who doesn't like Omni.

yunhua's right, he's always cursing Omni on Cemetech :S
Nicky trolls everything.  I think it is all in good humor.

I never really saw Cemetech and Omni as competitors. From what I've seen, cemetech has far more people doing hardware mods, and omni is more about software (especially axe :P)
Just how I have always felt.  They are also big with Doors over there.  I could never give up Mirage :/ ,but it is nice.

Doors is great, only reason I never gave up on Mirage was because it was too hard once you have 300+ programs.  :P

but on my "Development Calc", I use Doors.  ;)

I think I'll incorpoorate some of your levels, but my engine should be able to allow any dimensions.  Also, scrolling is included.  ;D
* yunhua98 stops advertising his in the works program in jimbauwens's thread.  :P
