So if I get this right Prizm.inc can start being created. And I agree with Qwerty, how can we dump our own ram?

Casio Calculators / Re: Suggested Casio Basic Editor with Syntax Highlighting« on: February 17, 2011, 01:57:35 am »
Actually such editors already exist. The Prizm has the ability to convert BASIC programs to txt format and vice-versa. Then using notepad++, http://notepad-plus-plus.org/release/5.8.7 a text editor with syntax highlighting and line numbering you can do on comp programming. Just check the Casio documentation first because some chars and commands are typed differently and some special chars do not translate.
@tim_crouse welcome, it's nice to see another Prizm coder here. 633
Casio Calculators / Re: Getting started in Casio-Basic? You can ask here.« on: February 17, 2011, 01:44:12 am »One nice tool would be a PRIZM program to txt converter and vice-versa for those who wants to program in Notepad. Personally I prefer programming on a calc rather than the computer, but some people prefer the opposite.Doesn't the OS already have that? 634
Casio Calculators / Re: Your calculator serial number« on: February 16, 2011, 11:53:26 pm »Seems strange because qwerty's calc which was manufactured a short time after yours (due to the serial number) was preloaded without he glitch. There are actually two versions of OS 01.02.0200, one preloaded on calcs (no glitch) and the one downloadable (glitched). You can tell you have the unglitched version because you have a 'Z' in your serial number.Unfortunately, I still have the pre-loaded OS and it definitely has the glitch.btw are you are a Casio programmer/hacker because we could use some help in that area. Right now we only have about 5 members involved in this and it isn't enough.I just got my Prizm about a month ago. Before that I had an 84+. Sorry, no prior Casio experience. Also you could learn SH3 asm. As long as you know z80 asm Sh3 will just be a little harder. In fact when I first got my Prizm I had no prior Casio experience at all. 635

The main part of the code will be converting 24 bit color to 16 bit color. Otherwise the format doesn't look too computationally intensive.

Added fx-9860g emulator to the long list of Prizm software yet to be written. but Actually that shouldn't be too bad to program.

A few days ago we had three maybe four Prizm hackers. Now we are at about 10 hackers. we can get all our projects out in a timely manner now. Great to see you here. be sure to introduce yourself in the introduce yourself sub-forum.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: hello from m1ac4« on: February 16, 2011, 01:57:55 am »I think it's because there was so much talk about the Prizm over here compared to other sites, especially about hacking/jailbreaking/ASM, that it bumped us in Google ranking, so it was only a matter of time when we would get many. The Prizm is most likely slowly appearing in stores now so more and more people get one. Casio sites are getting new members too, although most come to ask for help now. You're right DJ. for the "Casio Prizm" search we are number 19 on google. For "Casio prizm programming" we are number 5 and for "Casio Prizm snake game" we are #1 641

Prizm programmers ftw.
So you are already porting 84+ games to the Prizm. I've been working on a few games and have already ported a decent snake game, but you may have noticed already that Casio Basic isn't really all that fast when it comes to drawing. 642

TI monopoly ... not for long. i'm now trying to convince my school to endorse the Prizm for next school year. Showing capabilities of what you couldn't do before and teaching teachers (isn't that ironic) on how to use it. Assuming that TI will eventually cancel the 83+, I don't want my school to then ask students to buy nspire's. Sooner or later we will need many more Prizm game programmers.
