Other Calculators / Re: How do you feel about POTY Awards?
« on: January 18, 2011, 05:26:36 pm »
For categories there could be something like:
-Most innovative
-Best rpg
-best casual game
-best development tool/shell (there aren't to many of these)
-best action game
-best math/science tool (there are few good ones out there)

Or it could be broken up by development language so:
-best TI-BASIC program
-best z80 asm program
-best axe program
-best modified basic program (bbc xlib)

I have seen some pretty advanced apps programmed in html before, but the source is pratically unreadable.

Wow nice indeed. The only downside is how they failed to actually release the new OS to allow people with the buggy one to upgrade, though. <_<

Also Qwerty.55 got the Prizm emulator trial software on his calc CD, but not me. D:
What!! is it online yet.  :o
* z80man is jealous

Edit: darn't Casio hasn't posted it yet.

Same as DJ
@Qwerty does your version of the OS have the same bugs as DJ's version.

TI-Nspire / Re: Java on the TI-Nspire?

Java does have all those handy built in libraries. Good for a lot of that graphical programming.

I'm really not sure how popular asm coding for the Prizm will be. z80 asm is considered complex by many and that is probaly the easiest of all assembly languages. SH3 assembly will have even fewer users than z80. Once some libraries are written for the Prizm most programming will be done in either C or some version of Axe.

The calc costed me around $135 in Canadian dollars. I forgot how much shipping costed, but I think it was close to $10. It took 3 days to be shipped and 3 and half a week to arrive.
Umm 3 and a half weeks to arrive. What is that supposed to mean. ???

News / Re: Casio PRIZM released a bit too early?
« on: January 17, 2011, 02:13:43 am »
There is a possibilty that some prototype models got released without Casio's permission forcing them to release the Prizm nearly a month early. Before some of the bugs could be worked out.

So parts of the TIOS can never be removed by convential methods. Does it do anything else other than download the OS.

Even better if you could chat in math class.  ::)
Sitting in Math class with a bunch of cables and an Arduino doesn't look suspicious at all ;D
I sit near my teacher's desk and there is a wired router on the floor right behind me. I could use a bluetooth setup to connect my calc to the arduino and then to the internet.  ;)
