Hm I'm wondering if i should make my own topic for this instead of hijacking leafy's topic :P
I think they should stay together, personally, but if you don't want it to work that way, cross post links to each topic as the last post here and the first post in the other topic.

Byte, Free RAM, Monochrome, 8*8 sounds the best to me.

I agree that this should be an Axiom; it's "too higher level" in my opinion to be a regular Axe command.

Hey, Finale got the answer from my Question #8:
It's from Boost from Cage Match #3, isn't it?

It took me forever to beat the "This is Madness"/300 level.  Very clever, though, I must say.

I really like this game.

Why can't you pick up the heart pieces after dying once?

Now I 100%'d it XD
I wish ending was a bit better D:
To be honest, I do too.  I ran out of time on it for this release.

After twenty minutes, I figured out how to get out of the cell in the first screen of level 1. I suck x.x
Lol, Deep.  Maybe I should start the player off with less than full health so he/she thinks to use the bed quicker.

I know ztrumpet was doing this, but he decided to stop. D:
So I decided to start it again. :D

I'll start first, and you guess it.

News / Builderboy's Sonic Physics program gets Revamped
« on: November 30, 2011, 08:13:08 pm »
Earlier tonight, Builderboy posted a revamped version of his old Sonic Physics engine, made with a much earlier version of Axe.  This new version features smoothscrolling and everything people loved about the original.  It is worth noting that this is only a proof of concept demo and no plans have been made to do anything further with this program.  However, it still shows what is possible in Axe and looks really, really cool.

That looks amazing.  It looks like you could make a game out of it now; excellent job, Builder.

What happens if a bug is triggered?

Looks amazing!  I take it you took a little inspiration from the Serenity opening cutscene? :] I can't wait to play this ^^
Most certainly. ;D
Also, I really hope you read the readme...

I can't wait to play this Deep.  It's going on my calc tonight, now that it can't distract me from finishing my release of Midnight.

Wow, that looks amazing.  I'd go with the gray; it looks incredible.  Also, I don't think you need the particles streaming across in the background.  I actually think I'd like it better without. :/

I'm glad someone's picking this up again.

I'm also putting up a mirror and a screenie here.

Thank you guys for your support of this project.  As stated above, I'm going to continue this until I deem it as good as it can get.  Please let me know of anything you see in this that irks you or gives you trouble.

Well, I tried, and I failed.  It's too big for RAM.
Instillation will look like this:

Unfortunately, there won't be a beta release for another 16-or-so hours, as I just was able to throw everything together after fighting the reading from Archive programs before finally settling on Xcopy.  Because of this I haven't been able to playthrough the game a couple of times to make sure everything is working, and thus I do not feel comfortable releasing it yet.  Sorry about this.

I'll do my very best to release a beta tomorrow, which will have everything in it I was planning for zContest.  However, since I had to go into ROM to get this done, I'll add more stuff to Midnight after zContest.

Thanks, everyone!

TI Z80 / Re: My second game in Axe!!
« on: November 29, 2011, 06:25:41 pm »
well, that's quite obvious, because that's the correct description of hitting something :) that's why it should move further if it doesn't touch the nose of the plane thing
It works that way because the hit box (which is hidden in the back buffer) is rectangle for easy coding. so whenever the "bullet" hits the hitbox, it stops there.
Hey, that's awesome.  It's really cool to see someone using this concept in only his second game.
