As far as I know, you're allowed to use little bit of asm program for TI-BASIC section.
Yes, but I don't want to resort to this. Edit:I may make two versions of this, one with a helper program, and one that takes about 22000 bytes of RAM, but is Pure Basic.

Wow, I'm still out of RAM. Don't worry, I'll think of something.

I think it was because back then the post rating system was new. Older members didn't use it as much because they weren't accustom to it, and it hadn't caught on with newer members yet either. I remember making it on the list of Top 10 Most Respected with only about +6 respect, which seems like nothing now, considering only people with 300 or more respect are up there today.

Deep, that's awesome. I love the door opening and the use of Test(-1,Y,X," ") to make the screen go blank. It looks great!

Illusiat 13, Donut Quest II, and Portal are at the top of my list.
where did you find portal for the calc? I WANT! LINK??
It's Builderboy's Basic version: http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/409/40944.htmlEven though it doesn't look or play much like Portal X, it's certainly worth checking out.

Update: Actually, maybe not All twenty-one levels are complete, but I'm only about 60% sure I'm going to be able to add high scores and all that other stuff. It's almost definitely going to be lacking a storyline, unless I stop procrastinating absolutely everything in my life. [Epic No] N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-NoooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! [/Epic No] * ZTrumpet is dissapointMan, Deep, I was really looking forward to playing and competing against this in a couple of days. I understand, however, that you're making the right decision from your point of view, and I respect it. Best of luck to you on your other entries, and I hope you can get stuff straightened out IRL.

Well, I have some good news, some bad news, and some ugly news:
Good: I found a way to make the program fit in RAM (I think).
Bad: In order to do so, I have to eliminate 4 rooms.
Ugly: Some of these rooms were already "finalized."
Because of this, the total room count will now be 21 and the total cargo capsule count will be 20.

I figured I'd show you guys a quick picture of one of the rooms. This is as much of an update as you'll get at this point, though, from a screenshot perspective. Release is in 2 days.

For the record, I believe No Shell (the App) works just like Mirage does, only without the GUI.

I am 95% sure that I'll have the game finished for zContest; expect a release on Tuesday.
Things are progressing smoothly. The only disheartening thing is that I vastly underestimated the size all my little cutscenes and dialogue take - they will likely be about 25% of the size of the game when done and I only estimated them to take 10% to 15% of the space. Because of this, I'm going to have to scrap the optional boss fight that I was going to add in and just make the final boss even more epic. I think. There may be room for the 5th boss, but I doubt it, as I don't think I can optimize the game that much.
The third boss is done, but I'm not going to give you guys a screenie because I want the second half of the game to be a surprise to each and every one of you. Though I don't find it the most epic boss fight from a gameplay perspective, it might be from an emotional one. Who said calc games couldn't have storylines?!

Wow. This is looking amazing. I think this is the definitive chess game for the 83+ line.
