Basic's Menu( command is acting up.  It's giving me an Err: Lbl and once it filled my homecreen with the black dot character (I believe it is FFh).

Fixed - flag
Nope. :(
84+SE running 2.43.  I'll talk to you more about it tomorrow if you like. :)

Also, zStart will work on 83+SE's, the only thing that won't work is running on ram clears, which, honestly, I could do.
I have an 83+SE and use it as my Basic coding calc.  I would love to put zStart on it.  Can it be done?  Please? ;D

As it happens, Axe has a command just for that purpose!
expr(Str1,Str2)
I believe you mean Equâ–¶String(STR1,STR2).  expr (exch) just exchanges two chunks of data and would need a third argurment telling it how much to exchange. ;)

Yes, new version!  I was wondering when the few bugs would be fixed.  Thank you! ;D

And isn't zstart supposed to let you jump to the source of the problem when Axe has an error? If so, it's not working for me.
Nope, this is an Axe hook.  Press Prgm after getting an error while compiling straight from the Axe app.  I believe (but am not 100% sure) that the source has to be in RAM as well.

Oooh, how about you write a mini safe RAM clear program that I and Freyaday can hook to [ON]+[num]? :D
I think that would be the best solution! ;)
I think this is an awesome idea. :D

By the way, thepenguin, did you ever release the copy/paste program as an external program so people (me!) can use it on their 83+/83+SEs?  I went looking for it the other day but I couldn't find it and couldn't remember if you released it as a stand alone program or not.

Text sprites are only five pixels high, not six.
My Chess text sprites were 6 pixels high, but it only worked for the black pieces.  I used Line()s for the white only but in hindsight it would be easier to just use Line(x,y,x,y,variable) to control if it's black or white. ;)
(I was working on Chess about 2 years ago but gave up because I couldn't figure out how to program the AI).
Here's the program I was displaying with:

This looks awesome, Sorunome.  It's nice to have another Axe RPG in the works. :D

How are the moveable blocks handled? can they be "fired" in 8(up, down, left, right, and diagonals) different directions in respect to where the player is?
Yup!  I use the number pad so they can basically be placed anywhere. :D

Okay, wow. Will you actually show "cracked bricks" or will that entire block be erased?
Hmm, that's an interesting idea.  I suppose I could, but it would cause a lot more flicker when you ground pound something.  It's an interesting idea, and I'll have to think about it towards the end of this project to see if I'll even have room for it...

I believe you are also participating with this in zContest, right?
That's the plan. :D  I'm actually aiming for a release around Thanksgiving (like Exodus last year), but since this was also the deadline for zContest I figured why not. ;)

Hey, I'm glad to see more progress on this. It's coming along really nicely. When are you gonna work on your other project *cough*Elmgon*cough? :D
Thanks. :)  Let's see.  Elmgon is... waiting for Midnight to stop taking up my Basic development calc. :P  After I finish Midnight I should be able to work on Elmgon again.

Edit: I made a screenie of the game at 83+ speed to show that it's still playable even though it's a little slow.

Feature idea:
Fast graphing - Doesn't update the screen until all the functions are drawn on the graph or after each function's drawn giving graphing a big speed boost.

I don't think many are quite that small. I think more are like 200-300. But I could be wrong.
You are almost correct here.  I think most of them are 250-350 bytes.
Wow, Deep, that's awesome!  I'm not sure how you made it so fast, but I see a lot of strings in use just by watching the screenie.  That's awesome.  I wish I'd had the idea to use strings instead of making the bullets move out of lists.  Wow. :D

Boot, it's okay that Deep made his work well - he has a lot more experience with Basic, and I'm sure you can get to the level he's at by studying his code.  Remember that Deep and I have each been coding for a while now (I'm at 4+ years) and our first games didn't happen right off the bat.  My games up until Drifter were terrible, and Drifter was released after I'd been programming for 2 whole years. ;)  Good luck. :)

Should I be insulted that I never was on your friends list in the first place?
No, it means that I never found you or you never found me.  I only had 8 or so people in the community on my friends list in the first place.
