Both solutions would work. I could make it either fire with the number pad (1-4 and 6-9) or fire with 2nd and use left and right to rotate. Which would you guys prefer?

A page is just over 16000 bytes, and Applications can only be in multiples of these pages. That's why Apps are always in multiples of 16384 bytes.

Wow, I had no idea Axe will be so small! This is really cool! My vote is for the 2 page App including the helper programs, but if the parser still fits in one page, then I'd make two versions, on with two Apps and one with two Pages. Does this sound possible?

Yeah I was about to say that lol. That's a good idea. It would be quite easy to add too, but maybe a little advanced for most users and it would absolutely require a helper tool or a sketch on paper. Its not just sprites you can compress. Level data, text and even entire programs can potentially be compressed if they're sparse enough.
Wouldn't there be a way to make Axe do the compression/decompression for us?
I would like text compression, tho, it would be nice for games with loads of it
I agree here. I think a longer compiling time would be better than having to compress things by hand. Text compression sounds awesome too!

How 'bout an asteroids game?
Good idea. Do you have an example (would it be like the one in the Arcade here?) there's one but you avoid stars. One where you shoot asteroids would be cool, though, although if it supported 360° movement it might be very slow.
I think 8 directions would be feasible. I'm glad this is getting interest! Oh, and {AP}, my ideas originally stemmed from: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=198 and my desires to make games that could be made in 15 minutes to an hour. Actually Tap Forever took my five minutes.

If you've seen my sig, or been on #omnimaga at just the right moment, you'll know I'm working on a Homescreen-only 48 game game pack. Each game should be about 350 or so bytes, and then they will all fit. I've worked on some of these games in the past week, and I decided to release the 8 games I have so far in a pre-alpha of sorts. The screenie shows the game pack in it's current state. The "Mini8Gam" program is the same, only I simplified the menu. Let me know what you all think! If you have any ideas, or want your own games included, just post here! Ex of ideas: You need a real snake game! Tetris would be cool. (It will be bigger than the 350, but it is Tetris!) I need input on the program included, as I want to know which games people like, and which ones are duds. Disclaimer: Gather is based off a game by Merthsoft. Contact him for info on it. All the code and the other games are mine, and this line is because I don't want anyone to "steal" the games, as this by its self could be a stand alone release. However, I have no problem with people looking at and learning from my code.
