TI-BASIC / Re: Collision Detection Explained« on: March 11, 2010, 10:21:13 pm »By the way, how many people would find a String to Matrix, Matrix to String, String to list, etc. for converting tile based maps? That sounds pretty neat. I can't wait to see what you come up with! 4640
Portal X / Re: Portal X« on: March 11, 2010, 10:19:30 pm »
That is pure awesome! It's kinda mean that you took the portal section out, but it's something to look forward to.
That's an awesome engine! I really need to study this code and learn how you made it sooooo awesome. I can't wait for Portal X! 4641
TI-BASIC / Re: Movement with scrolling« on: March 11, 2010, 10:10:45 pm »
That looks very nice! Excellent job! This would be nice in an RPG, but I'm not sure it you'd want to start an RPG off this.
Awesome job! 4642
News / Re: Axe: a new TI-BASIC-like language for the TI-83+ and 84+« on: March 11, 2010, 07:02:42 pm »
Axe is awesome. It's really fast and easy to code with. Also, if this is only an Alpha, then imagine what the full version will have...
Oh, and once you're done imagining, post your ideas here: http://ourl.ca/4057 4643
TI Z80 / Re: Monopoly v3.0 BETA« on: March 11, 2010, 06:56:59 pm »
Can you write out the size? I'm not sure if 30K = 30000 or 3000. Thanks!
Size is not an issue to me either. 4644

I like the conj(, expr(, and Fill( commands! I know I'll end up using them.
Yay, 0.1.1! 4645
Portal X / Re: Portal X« on: March 11, 2010, 06:51:07 pm »
That's really cool! I'm glad that you're working on this!
Awesome job so far! I can't wait until I can play with this engine! 4646
TI-BASIC / Re: Movement with scrolling« on: March 11, 2010, 06:48:40 pm »
Great code Nyrax! Good luck finishing it!
I always had issue with the map running at like 1.5 FPS at the top of the string, then at the bottom 0.5To clarify, this is because the farther you get in a string, the slower sub( is. =\ 4647
TI-BASIC / Re: Encoding and Decoding Text« on: March 11, 2010, 06:30:44 pm »I think it, sort of, compresses data by taking advantage of the amount of data a REAL variable can contain. (the significand is 6 bytes, I think, which would explain the 6 letters/element ratio)This is completely right. Though you could store 14 digits (7 two digit numbers), fpart( will not return the right value with that many digits. Although i can't figure out why you are limiting the string length to 128 O.oI just limited it at 128 because there can only be 128 characters on the homescreen at once. I'm glad you guys like it. 4648
Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Re: Doors CS 7 really coming out?« on: March 11, 2010, 06:27:41 pm »The only thing I can program myself is some text games (have some concepts in my head) but then again, nobody needs more of those, so I don't make any.I wouldn't mind seeing some of these. Remember, despite how something looks, if it is an RPG and if there is story, it could still be an awesome game. Well, Mirage is quite nice as it is right now; its small, fast, featureful, and bug-free, so there's really no point in making a new version.I have encountered two bugs with Mirage: 1. If a basic program Errors, the temporary data Mirage has put the program in (in RAM) will not be deleted. 2. Once Mirage + Portal + Pic1 in archive gave my friend's calc a RAM Clear when Portal hit the StorePic 1 line. (Of course this is the friend who's calc I've RAM Cleared about 5 times. ) 4649
