*ZTrumpet points out that he is in marching band, and plays the (insert name of obvious instrument here). Does the code I posted earlier count as clever? That's basically how Elmgon's movement is handled; I reorganize the code so it leaves at the loop, and checks stuff at the top.

I know how you feel. I can't wait for anything you code, so as long as you're still coding, I'm happy. I do still want Serenity, though. It's tough to program just one project at a time. I have a bunch of almost unmentioned projects floating around. One of them I hadn't worked on since October/November just got ungrouped on Saturday, and work has resumed on Gravity Dude. I won't say much until I post about it (maybe this week), but it is even based off of one of the great Builderboy's games. Note before DJ asks: Elmgon's storyline is being planned now, so since I am not coding on it I am letting myself code on another project.

Portal Gold is mentioned in the first post in this topic. Portal 2: http://ourl.ca/3295Builderboy, which takes place first, Portal 2, or Portal X? I forgot to mention: Not only did I play through all of the original and beat it today, but I also got someone hooked on it. Then I check Omnimaga and I see this... *ZTrumpet thanks Builderboy for being awesome!

Woah...
Good luck! I don't know how to help you, but maybe a cookie will help... *ZTrumpet hands Builderboy a cookie...

WOW! Builderboy, this is why you're one of the best programmers out there! (IMO) This is awesome! I can't wait for Portal Gold, Portal II: Time Portal, and now Portal X. Since Portal Gold will be using the same levels as before, can I make levels for you? (Speaking of which, what happened to Shift?) I can't wait for Portal Gold! Portal X is just plain amazing. I'm surprised with how great it looks, and how much it is like the original. Great job! Is there any chance that we could see the source for those screenies? Great job!

Ah, I see. I was working on making it go off the screen.

Wow, this is a really hot topic. Did you try my solution?

Here's my completely different code that I am 100% sure it works. "String->Str1 //Note: Put the real string here, not "String". =D Output(1,1,Ans 2->A 2->B Output(Ans,A,"* DelVar C0 Repeat A+C=17 or B+Ans=9 or not((A+C)(B+Ans If "_"=sub(Str1,16(B+Ans)+A+C-16,1 Then Output(B,A,"_ B+Ans->B A+C->A Output(B,A,"* End Repeat Ans getKey->K End (Ans=26)-(Ans=24->C (K=34)-(K=25 End Good luck!

But in ztrumpet's, I don't see what adding the spaces does. (Thanks though, Nyrax.)
The extra spaces let you go off the screen without it erroring. Try it like this if you would like to see: PROGRAM:MOVE "//////////////// //Broke it down so it's easier to see. /___///___///__/ /_///___///__/_/ /______/////___/ /__///__///__/_/ /_////__//__//// /______________/ ////////////////→Str1 Output(1,1,Ans //Save speed and a byte :) 2→A 2→B Repeat 0 Output(A,B,"* Repeat Ans getKey→K End Output(A,B,"_ A+(Ans=34 and sub(Str1,16A+B,1)="_")-(Ans=25 and sub(Str1,16A+B-16,1)="_→A B+(K=26 and sub(Str1,16A+B-15,1)="_")-(K=24 and sub(Str1,16A+B-17,1)="_→B End Edit: My method won't work. It will still sometimes fail when you go off the screen. Let me think of a new solution...

Think this would work: PROGRAM:MOVE "//////////////// //Broke it down so it's easier to see. /___///___///__/ /_///___///__/_/ /______/////___/ /__///__///__/_/ /_////__//__//// /______________/ ////////////////→Str1 Output(1,1,Ans //Save speed and a byte :) 2→A 2→B Repeat 0 Output(A,B,"* Repeat Ans getKey→K End Output(A,B,"_ A+(Ans=34 and sub(Str1+"________________",16A+B,1)="_")-(Ans=25 and sub("________________"+Str1,16A+B-16,1)="_→A //That is 16 spaces both times B+(K=26 and sub(Str1+"_",16A+B-15,1)="_")-(K=24 and sub("_"+Str1,16A+B-16,1)="_→B //One space each time End Good luck! Edit: Did I just double ninja?!?! Wow! And I beat Nyrax by 3 seconds!

That looks pretty cool! I like the Social xp. It's pretty neat! Thanks on Elmgon. I tend to program like crazy for a week and then take a couple of weeks off. About a week ago I was working on Elmgon for 6 hours or so a day, and these "cycles" are why it progresses so strangely. (I'm not counting planning as programming, so I'm not programming it today. ) I'm sure TLM will have progress soon. It's a great game!

Yeah, DJ hit the nail on the head. We all (exception: http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?showuser=29040) do this for fun and in our free time. As cool as it would be to have a specific program now, if most likely won't happen. I'm pretty sure you aren't trying to be pushy, so keep in mind that we aren't mad at you or anything. We are just expressing our opinions, and we aren't mad. I've seen people take things like this as "Why does everyone hate me!", so this is just to remind you that we don't hate you.

Does the new version support the undocumented instructions? You mean 2.54MP, right? Crystal Defenders looks awesome! Good luck!

That's a pretty nice program. I love the little down arrow! Thanks! I don't know if I'll use it, but it's still pretty cool. Great job!
