Great idea! I'm sure this is faster when no key is pressed, but I don't know if it's faster when a key is pressed. It's nice code, though. Edit: Oh, and because of the new-line it takes two more bytes. Welcome here! *ZTrumpet points rthprog towards the Introduce Yourself sub forum.

Thanks! Does it brick, RAM Clear, or Mem Clear? Edit: Never mind: the first post explains it. The Equ>String( glitch is a pretty bad one.
But provides awesome screen shots to laugh on TI mainly because it is present in that many versions of TI-OS.

Yep. Ti-86 is about 1/2 the speed of an 85.
It's apparently caused by the way Ti did the ram paging to add the extra ram. Even ASM'ers tend to have problems with it.
The only saving grace the 86 had in my opinion was pxltext. Other than that and the extra ram, the 85 was superior in almost every way.
So, you'd recommend the 85 over the 86? Hmm... *ZTrumpet thinks about getting an 85 now...

Awesome! This sounds really nice. You've done a great job already.  (I'm fine with however you want to code it, weather you work on the GUI or the commands. I'm happy as long as you're working on this. )

I think it's a normal 85. The 86 is just really slow. I use the 86 as my calc of choice in Chemistry, though... I think the 85 is much faster than the 86. Silly Ti!
