S.A.D. (Seek and Destroy) / Re: [S.A.D.] Progress 2010

Excellent!!  I like the building graphics.  You all have done a really nice job with them!

I have a progress update, but I want to start by answering ztrumpet's question:

Quote
Is it possible to have an option that would show up on calcs with xRam to "Use Ram or xRam"?

We're probably going to have two versions of S.A.D.--one for regular ti-83+, and one for Ti-83+ SE and Ti-84+.  The latter will use the extra ram, as well as 15 MHz mode unless playing against a regular ti-83+.
Sounds great.  What will you do about newer 84s that don't have the full xRam?  Are you only using a small portion of it?  If so, then it will work on the new calcs, but you already knew this ;D
Thanks!

I never heard of tokenized sprite before x.x
DJ, this is what the calc stores Asm Programs in as AsmComp( takes them from Hex to Tokenized binary.
It basicly combines two hexadecimal numbers into one token.  Therefore, it's twice as small. :)

Have fun being busy. Good luck! ;D

Could they be written in binary for readability and the have axe convert them to hex when the program is being compiled?
I like that idea, but I think it would be compiled to the format the calc uses for storing assembly programs. (I think it's internal-binary.  Am I right?)

I meant the Old Board Archive.  I still really like the Downloads Section too! ;D

I thought the MOS one only worked on 1.0, not 1.1?
Same here.

Looks great!  The only thing I don't like is the multiple notes at once.  Since this is Pure Basic, you cannot have two keys pressed at the same time.  Due to this fact, you can't hit both notes, so it's impossible to hit two notes at once. :)

Yay Pointers!
Sounds good.  I can't wait for 0.0.4! ;D

*Bump*

Here's an update.  The bug fix was this:  I had N-3 where it needed to be N-1.  Ooops. :)
This version also has a fun little Easter Egg.  Since it's based off a Builderboy game, I'll let you guess what button to press.  Plus, it's based off Factory, so it occurs in one of those spots... ;D

@builderboy: what do you mean you would have to relly on other asm programs?? You would just recall the tokenized string/program into te source and then axe would parse it.
You somehow have to unlock the Asm program.  I'd use Oasis... ;D

After thinking about what Builderboy said, I think pure binary would also work nicely.  What do you think Quigibo?

I use XtraVars too, but I find it easier to Rcl Str0 and then delete the unwanted characters to get the unacessible ones. :)

I also use a HUGE string on my calc with all the "inaccessible" tokens in it.

Very nice trick Eeems!

This sounds really nice!
I think I'd write best in hex (My Preference). :D
