It's quite interesting and funny/ironic. I'm sure I'll read the whole thing eventually.

In the above quote, the second to last line needs to be
:2->R What i don't like about Goto, even when there are no memory leaks, is that if the program is absolutely massive, it takes a long while to load when a label is at the complete bottom of a programI agree. It takes forever when the labels are farther down, so for that code the subroutiens are at the begining. 5749
Other Calculators / Drifter« on: November 11, 2009, 07:59:45 pm »
Here is my program Drifter.
The begining of the read-me: Drifter is a game in which you slide untill you hit an object. There are many pieces that you will come in contact with that change the direction you're going. Collect all the +s and/or numbers 1-9 then reach the flag to win. Drifter includes 16 levels and a custom level editor for endless hours of fun. Enjoy! This is my first released game, and I enjoy listening to what people say, so make sure to download and write a comment. 5750

I use the...
:Goto S :Lbl A sub routien stuff here :End stuff here :Lbl S stuff here :If something :Then :For(I,0,1) :If not(I :Goto A :End :End rest of code here ...approach. It works very well, but it isn't as fast as external subprograms. If I want my 84+se to run faster than an 83+, I have to uninstall like 7 Apps (Including Celtic III and Calc Util). lol 5751

I usually code like crazy when I'm on a roll, and stop coding for like a week, and repeat the cycle. Sometimes the roll goes on for long, and sometimes notThat's what I do. The projects get done eventully. 5752

TI Z80 / Re: the Tale of Lost Map« on: November 11, 2009, 04:33:52 pm »Well, I at least try to optimize the code as much as possible, so that I wouldn't need to make the game 50 subprograms and 1 main program.Sub Programs are evil! Not really, but I try not to use them. However, I don't care about everyone else. I will play almost anything, and I have games with sub programs on my calc that I use often. If people woln't play games with subprograms or if thier huge, it's thier loss. 5756

Cool.
I like TLM, so this is okay to sit and wait. I have multiple progects, but I tend to concentrate on one of them at a time. 5757

Looks very nice so far.
It dosn't look like a ton of work to the normal user, but I know how long it took to write that. Very well done! 5758

That is because ninjas, pirates and zombies are the three most awesome things ever.I like the outer space part... 5759

Good luck getting your calc back!
It's been a month and a half too long. At least you have a computer. |
