I put 'A project for omnimaga' in my first (and only) project since I became a staff member. I'm developing roguez80 (partly) for omnimaga, so it just felt right to mention it.

Maybe if the game / program is a community-driven project. I wouldn't really include a logo in my projects; but I do include "Omnimaga.org" in the credits, since project discussion is hosted here. I pretty much try to include any person or site I got any additional help or advice from, as well.

Although, I'm sure "Ragnarok Development TI" exclusively links back to Omni in Google searches, anyway. :P

I have mixed feelings about this.  1. Advertising... not always cool to have, but very helpful. 2.n00b members like me who get over excited about their programs, upload them, accedentally have all who downloaded the program, RAM CLEAR.  then we might be a little infamous.  3. Nathalm is a lobster... 4. New members would be nice.

I think it all depends on how the advertising is done.  But on a whole i am for it.  I myself have a 'company' logo i always put up my games (Angle Productions) but i think adding in Omnimaga.org into the credits would we not only acceptable but a great idea for people who want learn more about the game and possibly even report bugs or reviews.

we could have an omimanga logo (in axe).
then when the program starts we could have
.ProgramHere
[pic1]->pic1
pic1->DispGraph
pause 5000
Rest of code here

The only problem with that is now every program is almost 800 bytes larger x.x

68k C programs have options for a set of "program comments" at the top, which are accessed by "some shells", according to the documentation. One of those is a 16 by 16 icon (either black and white or grayscale).

Not sure what 89 shells would use the icon, but at least it would be in the source code (of those few 68k programs developed on Omnimaga, that is). Maybe I'll put it in mine.

The userbars in my sig are links embedded links.

And in addition to calculator (and Python!) stuff, I mod Civilization 4 (frequently with Python).

I'm ok with staff having the logo and stuff if they want, and references in their readme, same with forum members, although yeah, I'm a little more leery of new community members because if they accidentally start off overzealous they could tarnish our name. Although if they want to give a thanks to the community or something that would be cool :)

I suggest different levels of advertising for different levels of programming prowess.
