Unknown Action
« on: February 04, 2009, 09:00:09 pm »
Anyone noticed the "Unknown Action" thing in the online list? For example for a member it will say "Viewing Online List", another, "Viewing Portal", but then you will see for another: Unknown Action And it's mostly with guests that this happens, altough I saw it happen with members too, for example, right at the moment, noahbaby94. At first i guessed it was the arcade but there haven't been any games played since Monday. I hope it's not a forum bug

EDIT: Actually I just got it too, after posting this, going on the forum index then the online list, but the online list cache only updates every minute or so I think

I don't know why this is, but I come across it quite often(members and guests). I don't think it's a bug, but it certainly is mysterious. ??? @Kalan: Usually when someone is posting in a topic it says: "member name" is posting in "topic name".

That was scary the first time I seen this that's for sure. I went through error logs right away to make sure it wasn't an hacking attempt, but now this happens with every members

its usually caused if a person is viewing their inbox or doing something "private" iirc.

I had originally thought it was a post in a hidden topic, ie something not viewable except for staff.

for hidden actions, I think it says nothing, or nothing you can see (for example, admin CP). For hidden posts it would be quite ironic though considering I can see every sub forum as admin. Maybe it's the mods

No it can't be for hidden forums considering I've seen guests doing it.
That's what she said!!!

*epic bump*

Erm, what? I'm supposed to be able to see when someone's browsing the staff forums ... and then what's a guest doing in the staff forums? ???

Bots wont follow forum links, they try every possible forum/topic ID one by one.

No problem. Btw even if accessing a sub-forum fails, the Nothing or nothing you can see message will still appear if you can't, either, and it will show the sub-forum name if you can.
