I will start this off by thanking Kevin for all his contributions to the TI community. Not only for his impressive and revolutionary programs, but also for his constant efforts to keep Omnimaga alive, and from taking it from its humble beginnings to what it is today. His constant positive feedback on all our projects, not to mention a place where we can display these projects gave many of us the motivation we needed to keep working on them.

Lately some of us upset him in a way or another, and for that I would like to apologize. I would like to ask everyone here to say a couple of kind words of encouragement to our friend in these trying times for him.

- Alex

You've been a huge inspiration to me Kevin. I remember back in january 2005, i just got my new calculator, and i visited TiCalc.org for new games. I saw your feature and i was completely amazed by the awesome graphics! And in Grayscale! I said to myself, i want to make a game like that, so i started reading a few basic tutorials and learning BASIC. All your games have been epics, and your influence has been tremendous on the Calc Society, if there was a noble prize for Calculators, you'd win it :)smile.gif

Well... Ultima V would have turned into an incomplete tech demo about 1 year ago if it had not been for Omnimaga and Kevin.

Thank you for all of your encouragement!

If it wasn't for Kevin Ouellet and Illusiat I never would have made A Dot RPG, and would have never started T14 (as dead as it my be now) when I saw what he did with RoL1 & 2 I was amazed that something so complex could be on the calc. When I saw RoL3 I started to get into xLIBbing and whatnot (xLIB .1a bud) when I finally started to talk on the same forums as Kevin I was amazed at how cool of a guy he was (this was slightly before EPS) eventually EPS formed and I talked on their forums alot (I even had a few T14 topics there that seems Kevin was the only person intrested in them) then I started to frequent IRC alot and found him there, awsome dude to chat with, eventually we became friends (this was after DLQ (of which I have never played, lacking the TI-83+SE calc to do so) but before RQ1) then he started talking about GS in BASIC which amazed me further, I tried to pull secrets from him (he said they where too complex, he was right) which in the end helped me become a better programmer, after a while I noticed Kevin getting more and more depressed, then he released XXR which seemd to PWN everything out there into the ground. He has helped THOUSANDS of people in programming SOMETHING and alot of people in programming great things, and has still to this date not been topped in the BASIC world... and probably won't be for quite some time.

I think I met a lot of nice people here, thanks to Kevin. Without him, I would not hang around here. He also morivated me when I started working on Shadow Falls - without him, I would have stopped very soon.

I really got to know Kevin by accident... at first, I figured I wasn't really deep enough in the calculator world to associate with him friendly, but he was a very kind programmer who immediately opened up to me.  He's friendly, a lot of fun, and has a very... entertaining... sense of humor.  :)smile.gif

I never knew kevin until the day that I read a news article on some other site that omnimaga was looking for a news editor.  I figured I'd apply, even though I wasn't even a member yet here.  I got the job and the rest has been history.  He's helped me out a lot with motivation for the forum rpg and the chosen.  Thank You Kevin!! :)smile.gif

Kevin, you realy got me to start programming and all.  I got to say, I realy think you have done a lot for this community and I wonder how many people put more hours into it.  I realy hope to hear that you are feeling better again soon and have some better circumstances.

I've known Kevin for about 2 years now... He's one of the people who've kept me alive through those 2 years... I thank you for that, Kevin. Also, his games were ownage, I've watched him work on a lot of stuff and it all amazed me. Thanks to him, TI-BASIC has reached a whole new level, and isn't that bad compared to ASM anymore. We had a great time in EPS, and also here in Omnimaga during the time I've been staff here. And also, without him I probably never would've gotten to know CDI. Kevin, you are a great guy, with a great mind and ideas. You rock. Thanks for the 2 years I've known you.
