it is, its supposed to be used for home servers, but invisionfree domain manager works with it. i couldnt set this domain name on a normal IPB forum, its really a feature exclusive to invisionfree and a few other place, i mean you cant set a dyndns.org domain to point to a geocities site

But couldn't you just ping it to get the IP address, then just redirect it to that?

Get the IP address... Ping it and it is at top.

Make a Javascript redirection page

Easy!

i c, well i wouldnt need to do that if I used a domain for this forum, but seeing what happened with rivereye studios (see affiliate at bottom of page) I really dont trust domain providers anymore

Ok, I see that. I just thought that it would make things easier for people(me) to do that.

Ok I finally got a domain from yahoo: http://omnimaga.org . So you should be able to get to the site from here, altough if you use the old url it redirects here anyway. For some reasons it removes the www at the beginning of the url when browsing, like slashdot.org, but i guess its not a big problem since both can be used. I took yahoo because it costs $1.95 for the first year and Invisionfree is affiliate with them so it's very easy to get support. If someone wanted he could even get a yahoo domain for his invisionfree forum, send a support ticket to Invisionfree staff and get them to set it for him, plus you can get support directly at invisionfree forums

anyway enjoy and dont forget to update your bookmarks and link sections!
