Well it depends. If the videos are various stuff, certain things such as calculator game showcases only requires movie maker 2.6 or something like that. Stuff like reviews will look much better with some low volume background music, a *short* intro (I hate when people use 30 minutes long intros) and of course some editing on the voice so it doesn't sound like someone is talking on the phone with lots of static behind.

Also people will have to make sure that their videos are not recorded with a potato. We tolerate 96x64 resolutions, but not 48x32 and especially not 16:9 videos stretched to 4:3 or vice-versa.

I'm christian, and I see nothing derogatory in what he says. I take it at face value because I have seen the fanatics on Youtube, even of my religion. Especially of my religion.

Yeah, religious fanatics as in religious extremists who are trying to shove their religion (or lack of) down your throat, I hope none of us do that. Most people love and tolerate members of other religions. Like, I'm catholic and I will totally respect you if you say you're atheist or muslim while not trying to convert you to Christianism (which is the point of certain videos and even TV shows).

I finally cleared my sig after 4 years you're happy now?

Although in this case, you would be trying to convert them to catholicism

Catholicism is the original branch of Christianity, so it's pretty much the same thing.

Actually no, the original branch of christianity was the early church. Catholicism came about around 100 years after the death of Jesus.
There is a whole lot more I could go into concerning the differences between Catholics and Christians (As well as between different major Denominations) but I wont get into that. I wont derail the topic with this.

Has anybody thought about talking to the admins about this whole official Omnimaga youtube channel thing?

catholicism, protestantism, the eastern orthodox church, and all the subsets therein are all christians. a christian is just someone who believes that there was a fellow names jesus who was the christ

anyways, that's enough of that for now :p

and yeah, if this youtube thing is going to be an official channel then it would be nice if we knew what was going on :P

eh, there is more to it then that ;P You can believe in Jesus and not be a christian.

Anyways, if you guys want to make an official channel for Omnimaga you need the permission of the admins. I'll make a topic on the admin board and one of us will get back to you about it.

How did this topic turn religious O.o
Anyway shmibs I tihnk there's some more to being Christian than believing in some fellow named Jesus.
But let's get back on topic :p
As I said, I can create fancy video compilations :D Just send me the GIFs that should be in.

Yeah let's not derail the topic into an explanation about the different branches of the Christian church.

Also that was the point of making a topic, no admins really objected to this. Plus they can give you the password of the channel if you want. So I'm pretty okay with this.

Nobody seemed to mind, but you still didn't seek out permission to represent Omnimaga as it's official channel.

You totally misunderstood me here, or you don't spend enough effort reading other people's posts. By religious/atheist/thegameist fanatics, I am refering to people who kill/threaten/riot over religion/lack thereof, along with Youtubers that mass downvote/downrate/flag videos that opposes their views. Omni and Cemetech only ever had one atheist fanatic and he had the police called on him by a Cemetech staff due to a death threat on religious groups (I'm not giving names because that person stopped bothering us with it and is simply contributing calc stuff to the community now).

Back on topic, Eeems wouldn't it be fine if the channel was called Unnoficial Omnimaga TV/Omnimaga Fan TV Channel, and have omnimagatv instead of omnimaga in the name? I think that would be a better solution in case admins are too busy since the channel might start at any moment (requiring an immediate admin response), and the fact that the channel is entirely ran by non-staff members, eg fans of Omnimaga.
