I'd buy a bumpersticker, but probably nothing else.
Maybe a bag of peanuts, but I'd get bored and eat it or throw it away.

It would be nice to review some more recent games since most people already know  games like Mario, Joltima, etc. You can review non Omnimaga and Omnimaga games and for negative reviews it needs to state why and what could have improved the game.

BASIC games should be included from time to time, although to start up it might be a good idea to review some of the best Axe/ASM games to attract more users.

Also please, no bias against specific game genres/format. For example don't go and say a game is not worth it only because of its file size unless the size:features ratio is totally unreasonable for the game era. You can mention about install processes but it's best to focus on the game content as much as possible, since that's what people want to know.

And of course include some retro games like Illusiat 11, Narkemen or some other less downloaded games like that.
Speaking of install processes, that would be nice if someone would make tutorials on how to install some games who were a PITA to install. For example, I've never really been able to install some of DJ's games.

Or perhaps instead of letting people be able to directly log into the account and upload stuff, only admins could have the password and anybody who wants to upload a video would have to send it to one of the admins and have them approve/upload it.
Although I am not much of a fan of the single admin idea for various reasons:

-What if the admin has a big tendency to slack off?
-What if the admin is way too busy to handle the task on a regular basis and upload videos in time?
-What if he suddenly vanishes entirely? A lot of people here vanished all of a sudden at one point or another from the TI community, either due to being busy, grounded or losing interest.

Maybe it would be a better idea to have multiple admins.

I did say multiple people in that post :P

Actually it would be nice if it was some sort of tutorial showing the computer in action with maybe a part showing when and how to connect the calc, including download links to softwares and maybe the install process. And of course it would be good to warn about what can break linking softwares, if applicable.

As for my games, it's a different process, though, because the group files can only be sent through the 2001 TI-Graph Link software, otherwise you must ungroup them on the computer prior sending them to the calc, which sometimes break any program that contains the letter Theta.

And EPic7 I thought you meant the channel owner lol, not Omni admins. Also it might be good that not just Omni admins and the channel owner have the password either, because most Omni admins are no longer involved in calculator-related stuff since a few years ago and since they are in college or past hi school, they might be too busy to upload people's stuff.

No. Keep the passwrd just to staff and trusted people. There have been problems in the past with people who freak out.
I currently don't do much, but I am a developer for a game you should totally try out called AssaultCube Reloaded download here https://assaultcuber.codeplex.com/

True, even a once-trusted staff who reached 4000 posts. Add to that some rather troublesome users who had extreme post counts. >.<

What about a person gets the password if they consistently upload videos or have uploaded a certain amount of videos that have good content.

It would make it easier on the admins also for them to have the password since they will be constantly uploading videos anyway.  And if for some reason someone gets all crazy and stuff the password can be changed and the new one can be sent by PM to everyone that is still trusted.
They say that your signature is supposed to go here...

Just be careful about people linking the account to their alt Gmail account (if that's possible)
If all goes well we might be able to sell omnimaga merch. I'd buy that *.*
That would be cool. Maybe I could sell some through my Reverbnation store or we could create a Cafepress. I'm not sure how reliable they are for items, though. Also they take about $10-15 from each sale, so you have to charge like $25 for a t-shirt.

That idea was brought up 1.5 years ago from SirCmpwn, but then he almost completely lost computer/internet access for months (parents x.x)

However, I would rather leave an Omni merch store in the hand of the Omni admins, since that money is for them and I don't really run Omni. It would kinda be weird for non-Omni admins/owners to make money with merchandise for a site that we don't even own. Plus if eventually I get lots of sales from random stuff, it will get hard to separate my profits from theirs (although all TotKotM/ADoMH album sales profits were donated to Omni last Spring)

That channel could host series of shows and stuff like that, much like a TV channel. For the rest, there's playlists.
Would it be that bad to have almost everything on playlists?

It depends. It would be nice at least if the Youtube channel had an easy to access section where we can see the latest uploads too. Otherwise it might sound like that channel has no video at all, just playlists.

Do any of you know if there is a way to easily transfer videos from a playlist to upload status?

I have a good idea! I was searching for solutions, and this came up:

Quote
Not many people are aware of YouTube’s mobile upload feature which can be a lifesaver for video bloggers  and writers who are contributing at one place or want to upload videos to the same YouTube channel, without knowing the account credentials.

Ask your YouTube channel owner to login to his account, go to “Settings” and switch to the “Mobile setup” tab. YouTube will provide a secret mobile upload email address, as shown below:

This is a unique email address which identifies only this YouTube channel. Copy this email address and save it as a contact on your email contact book.

Now comes the real fun. When you want to upload videos to this YouTube channel, all you have to do is compose a new email message and attach the video file as a mail attachment. When you are done attaching the video, enter a relevant subject line to the email message. This subject line will act as the Title of the video whereas the body of the message will act as description.

When you are done composing the message, hit the “Send” button and it’s done. Your attached video will be uploaded to the YouTube channel which is associated with this secret email address.

Congratulations, you have just uploaded a video to a YouTube channel which you don’t own and the best thing here is that the username or password is not shared at all. The only catch here is that the video file size should not exceed 25 MB, because Gmail has a limitation of the maximum attachment size.

Yes, I saw that too, but since I think 25 MB is only like 3-4 minutes, I didn't think it would be that useful, especially for tutorials.
