Additionally, I could do a series where I speedrun games :D I know a technique that allows you to do it pretty easily in wabbit, and it could be pretty cool to watch, especially games that involve physics and such.  It could be half tutorial half speedrun!

Also, I am in favor of using Wabbit for all of our screenshot needs.  I think it would look a ton more professional than just recording our calculators, plus it would allow more people on omni to get out quality video, not just the ones with cameras.
Oh, I also thought of something that would be cool, but lame; maybe a video of which one of us can complete blockdude in the shortest time.
Hm... Maybe that would be cool
Have like 4 of us each record a speedrun in wabbit and arrange the 4 screens into one video having them play simultaneously.
I think that would be a great intro video though I couldn't do it. I'm slow at blockdude
I currently don't do much, but I am a developer for a game you should totally try out called AssaultCube Reloaded download here https://assaultcuber.codeplex.com/

Block Dude isn't one of Omnimaga's project though. What about one of the older games from the COT instead?

That does sound pretty cool.
I think it would be epic, because some would zoom through levels, but might trap themselves and start a level over, so it could end up quite interesting.

I agree that one of those would be cool to see, but blockdude is a well established game that most people know of. It is more likely to generate interest imo. Though some other games may do just as well

I've never heard it either, a quick google shows it to be tool assisted speedrun.

Tool-assisted speedrun. Basically, set the emulator speed really low and win your way through the game and make yourself look like a total boss.

I like this idea. It could be a series, 4 people playing a game, all starting at the same time, and seeing who could complete the game or specific levels first. We could even have commentaries and facecams through Skype or TinyChat :)

ALthough a real TAS also involves frame by frame emulation so the minute you can move you won't skip one frame, ensuring you have a perfect time, and in the case of RPGs, a real TAS would also involve luck manipulation (having the ASM debugger open and trying to dechiper values there, to attack at the exact right time). Some games like Mario also requires re-recordings and rewinding, which I don't know if Wabbitemu supports yet.

That said, some games can be modified to add replay support and be played with all the necessary TASing tools, too, like Builder did with Portal X once and what people also did with Doom.

epic7: check to see if you have the most recent build. If you do, submit a bug report. I've never been able to get it to work, but supposedly that was fixed a while ago.

I assume so... I downloaded it last week.
Wabbit creates a file, but it's completely blank
