posting pages randomly shakes whenever I post.
« on: December 02, 2010, 08:45:48 pm »
If I type in a post box and type more than the box, it just starts to shake and I have a hard time editing my post while typing. What's happening?

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

I've had this happen to me too on another forum. What browser are you using? Ever since I switched out from IE to FireFox I've never had that problem since.

That's why I use Linux :P

I would strongly suggest FF or Chrome. Both are faster and have much support from their communities.

Edit: Ninja'd

I also used it while I was in web design. That and Chrome.

Who needs Firefox or Chrome? Write your own browser in x86   O.O

I think that's my favorite emoticon

Lol Qwerty. I personally use Opera and am fine. However with Opera this problem occurs on Cemetech as well when typing in SAX from the posting page (not the quick reply)

I've never seen that problem. My Firefox just jumps down the page while loading [if it's a big page]. It's kind of annoying to start reading something then have to readjust the page

Yeah usually on pages filled with images hosted on a slow server I just hit the Esc button when it just won't stop moving around, else I accidentally click ads.

Sometimes they purposely put ads exactly where you would click normally and artificially increase loading time so by the time you were gonna click it's gonna move.

This is an IE problem, unfortunately.  I've seen the same thing.  If FF or Chrome isn't an option for you, I recommend using Notepad to compose posts and pasting it into the forum.  A quick way to get to Notepad is to push Windows Key+R, and type in "notepad" and hit Enter.
