Question marking a post?
« on: October 05, 2010, 06:11:50 pm »
I just had a random idea - you know how posts have a thumbs up or a thumbs down?
What if there was a button that lets you 'question mark' a post?  That way, people can see which posts are confusing or need clarification.
Maybe it would be almost like the thumbs down button, except less extreme?

Just a random thought.
My website: Currently boring.

Projects:
Axe Interpreter
   > Core: Done
   > Memory: Need write code to add constants.
   > Graphics: Rewritten.  Needs to integrate sprites with constants.
   > IO: GetKey done.  Need to add mostly homescreen IO stuff.
Croquette:
   > Stomping bugs
   > Internet version: On hold until I can make my website less boring/broken.

Well, not only do i think that the SMF (or whatever it is that this board runs on) does not support that kind of thing (you would have to ask DJ) but wouldn't it be easier to just ask in a post?  Especially because then you can ask to clarify certain parts that are confusing, or elaborate on certain points.

yeah, good point, unless there was some sort of notifier teling you what was wanted to be changed, since you might miss a topic if it is in a post.

EDIT: shouldn't this be in site feedback and questions?

Have you seen any good news-worthy programs/events?  If so, PM me with an article to be included in the next issue of CGPN!
The Game is only a demo, the code that allows one to win hasn't been done.

Maybe?  Idk, this just popped into my head randomly so I felt that it should go under the random subforum.

I think it's a good idea, though I'm not sure how feasible this is.

(Moved to Site Feedback and Questions. :))

I think it is best to ask in another post, quoting his post. Sometimes the ??? emoticon becomes handy there. If the person won't bother answering, just PM the person.
