Slow posting loading speed

I am wondering if any of you had slow posting times lately? Normally, I load forum pages in about 1-2 seconds, but when I post, it generally takes 4-10 seconds. It only started happening about 2 weeks ago.
Also this morning people were apparently getting a 403 Forbidden on the site and I checked the logs and it happened yesterday too. Has it happened other times before too? I know I did some backups recently, though, so it might be something due to that, but it was a bit scary because this is the same error message as MaxCoderz was getting when it got hacked in late 2004.

Ya, I was getting some errors earlier today and yesterday. I think 405 and 403. It seemed to clear up in about 5-20 minutes though. As for posting speed I haven't noticed a whole lot. I mean I occasionally get a longer post speed but doesn't happen that often and only happens once and it's usually fine after.

yesterday the 403 error appeared to have lasted several minutes, though. It was also affecting the site files, unlike 500 Internal server errors that occurs randomly, which only affects the two forum on this webspace. Idk about 405 though.
Longer posting speed seems weird tho considering most of my posts are very short.

Ya, the 403's that happened today/yesterday/two days ago were the ones that were taking awhile to clear up. The 405's seemed to clear up easily. I've gotten 404's before, I think it was 404's anyways, but they weren't a big deal.

I wonder what is 405... I shall investigate on that one.
The worst error we ever had was that 500 one we got on July 22th that lasted several hours and the data loss of May 10th 2009 where we lost about 100 posts (caused by a failed upgrade to SMF 2.0, thanks to the forum theme)

So it turns out that what I thought was 405 errors were actually 500 errors. I don't know what that really means but thought I should clear that up.

Ah ok then I am aware of that. The reason why during the October lull I had possible plans to move to Surpasshosting, although this is uncertain yet, as I noticed Cemetech sometimes gets slow loading speed too (they use Surprasshosting)
