Tapatalk vs Omni compatibility issue?
« on: January 03, 2013, 11:00:26 pm »
I don't know if it's because of the SMF upgrade or because Tapatalk has issues handling some bbcode and large threads, but earlier on my mobile I visited the Reuben Quest Axe Remake thread on the forums using Tapatalk, but I could only view the first and last pages of the thread. If I clicked next/previous page, it skipped every other page, and if I clicked previous from the last page, it displayed the last page again once and next click went to 1st page.  ???

Or could this be an issue when the last page only has 1 post?

I ran into some issues as well when the last page only had one post.

That's not android right? I think we can'r compare androids with non-android, and I guess that most of the precalled phones/ run some version of android

Hmm, you're right, I didn't look up the model, but it seemed not. It is yeah, well then all I can tell you is that I can't really help you because I don't know which version of tapatalk I have. I got it somewhere from the internet, so I doubt it'll be the latest version.. Have you tried a simple update or reinstall?

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

I can tell you that mine doesn't synchronise the avatars all the time, so I guess there's some overall bugs present. I tried on that specific thread you said (the reuben axe remake) and couldn't experience what you told us. It works perfectly fine, and even the (e.g.) tech support in botswana, which has >9000 posts, works perfect...

One thing I also noticed with Tapatalk that annoys me (although maybe they intentionally did that) is how when you view the topic list, it shows the avatar of the last poster, but it doesn't show the last poster nickname at all. Instead, you see the topic starter name. If you don't remember who had a certain avatar this gets confusing.

Could it also be due to our Android versions being outdated? (I think the only way to update is to root my phone, which would void my warranty)
