Awesome update by the way.  I really dig the new menu system, especially the fact that the Options menu has a different background than the Main menu, that is a nice touch that is often overlooked.

Lolwut?

(check Axe Parser download stats)

Does it mean Axe did not get any download so far, or epic fail from ticalc stats? o.o

Again, it was added very late today and it has been avaliable alerady on Omnimaga and some people may not have updated yet.

'though, this was the first time I see this on ticalc, so I thought I would post this. :P

Btw as for tonight, this version got 50 downloads on Omnimaga. This is a total of 594 if we include all Axe Parser versions from 0.0.1 to 0.2.0 (0.0.1 is in the first post of this topic). That's more than any other download on Omnimaga site :P

Lol ok. Then ticalc stats epic failed x.x

All other files uploaded today got at least 1 download. One did not even have a screenshot either and was not a math program (math programs gets a lot of downloads at this time of the year)

Unless the e-mails comes from people who downloaded it on Omnimaga? Do they tell the person downloaded it on ticalc.org?

Trust me, its getting downloads.  This happened to a few of my other programs as well, so I'm not too surprised.  I don't think missing stats imply that it lacks downloads, I think its something else or a fluke in the system.  Every program gets downloads on the front page no matter how dull or boring it is.  And when it has animated screen shots, its likely to get many.  At a bare minimum, I did download it to double check the file after it got approved there.

Aaah ok. Well either way it is getting downloads somewhere, which is the positive thing. I think it's definitively a fluke in their system. It's like when some math programs ends up with like 50000 downloads in one week. Usually it gets fixed in a few days, though. It was just strange at first x.x. Normally, when a file gets no download in a week, the last 7 day ranking won't show up. However for a file to not get download in 12 hours after it appears on the site front page, it would really be weird, considering it gets 55 times more traffic than Omnimaga and has animated screenshots. And now you say you downloaded it (altough stats only updates around 11 PM, so if you downloaded it later your download was not counted).

That's weird. I've never seen that before. I didn't see anything obviously wrong on the server, so as others mentioned, it's likely a glitch or something in our system (it would only be the 9500th one I've come across :P). I'd wait about 24 more hours to see if it clears up before worrying too much.

Maybe it's because it got exactly 666 downloads on its first day, or even OVER 9000, and it broke ticalc.org? :O

It probably won't last though.  I remember Pyoro was ranked #1 for a little bit too.

wow nice, this is a good thing to see after only two days. For a program rating to show up, you need at least 5 votes. This means Axe Parser received 5 ratings alerady. However, script kiddies will most likely do their hit-n-run 1/10 rating spree again and I wouldnt be surprised if people who crashed their calc due to bad coding and not reading instructions rated it 1/10 too. They did with TI-Boy SE anyway x.x

I hope it gets the attention it deserves in the rest of the TI community!

That is pretty epic indeed. Hopefully its gets more and more recognition that it rightly deserves. Great work.

That reminds me, I should vote for ità

I may also send a review later, but I will wait since someone else alerady reviewed it and his review will end up missed out

EDIT: Back on the program download stats fail, an example of them today:

http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/302/30288.html
Dance Dance Revolution: Software Development Kit

Ranked as 1733 on our all-time top downloads list with 9015 downloads.
Ranked as 1 on our top downloads list for the past seven days with 6639 downloads.

I just have a bit of a programming question (I'm not sure where else to ask questions like this):

How can you easily work with bits instead of bytes? That is, is there an easy way to pull out the individual bits in a byte, and vice versa?

What is the difference between bytes and bits? I've never really understood that.
