I've got a bug to report.

Sometimes when I'm using tokens from the VARS menu (Str1, Pic1, etc) the program editor will append a comma to the end of it. I'm not really sure how this happens and my hands are nowhere near the comma button when I use VARS. I've only had it happen a few times, but it's still strange enough to report.
I do sprites and stuff, so yeah.

I've had this happen to me as well, as well as some weird token behavior.  Tell me were you using omnicalc at the time?

Also why do applications delete themseles after a few runs?

It may be related to this post from cemetech:

Code: [Select]
[22:23:25] <+KermM> Buckeye, if you see this, I was wondering about the perennial emulator problem where apps randomly get deleted, some kind of certificate issue, I presume
[22:24:46] <+BrandonW> I can tell you exactly how to fix this.
[22:25:05] <+BrandonW> You need a dummy certificate with a series of zeroes starting at 1F18h.
[22:25:24] <+BrandonW> Without them (meaning all 0xFF's), the OS thinks it's a trial application, and they'll get deleted after 15 executions.
[22:25:27] <nikky> bawwwwwwwwwwww
[22:25:43] <+BrandonW> C+1F18h*
[22:26:04] <+BrandonW> I was planning to write a little 83+ program that did this.
[22:26:33] <+BrandonW> I said the technical details once in #ti but that was a while back.
[22:26:42] <+BrandonW> I'd have to do a little digging, and the offset is different on the 84+/SE.
[22:26:45] <+BrandonW> And 83+SE.
[22:27:08] <+BrandonW> The last app page minus the base page of your application times two plus the offset is the word you need to make a zero.
[22:27:21] <+BrandonW> On the active certificate sector.
[22:27:52] <+KermM> BrandonW, excellent
[22:27:57] <+KermM> I'll pass that along to Buckeye
You'll need to get Quigibo, probably w/Brandon's help, to fix this.

Yep, I always have Omnicalc and CalcUtil installed on my calc.

I've actually just had this happen to me. I guess the only thing we can do for now is just wait for that dummy certificate to be written onto the Apps.
I do sprites and stuff, so yeah.

IM thinking it might have to do with Axe hooks interfering with Omnicalc hooks?  Mmm I just don't use omnicalc anymore

Oh, is that what it is!  I couldn't figure out why that was happening in wabbit, it happens with the Axe Parser app too but that's just a wabbitemu problem.

I've confirmed that the dummy signatures are in fact causing the apps to delete after 15 runs, but when signed on the computer, they behave just like regular apps.  An app resigner will be included in the next release.  I will try to make the dummy signature more convincing so that the apps stay.  I'll have to talk to BrandonW about that because I feel like I'm missing another piece of information from that conversation.

When I App compiled the interrupt based music player example Quigibo uploaded, it would crash whenever I ran it.
Would this just be because I didn't send it to my computer and recompile it? Or is this an Axe bug?

Spoiler For Projects:

My projects haven't been worked on in a while, so they're all on hiatus for the time being. I do hope to eventually return to them in some form or another...

Spoiler For Pokemon TI:
Axe port of Pokemon Red/Blue to the 83+/84+ family. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia:
My big personal project, an original RPG about dimensional travel and a few heroes tasked with saving the world.
Coding-wise, on hold, but I am re-working the story.

Spoiler For Finale's Super Insane Tunnel Pack of Doom:
I will be combining Blur and Collision Course into a single gamepack. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia Origins: Sky's Story:
Prequel to Nostalgia. On hold, especially while the story is re-worked.

I thought interrupts weren't usable in Apps yet.

I wasn't sure as I hadn't been on the forums for a week, so I thought I would check.

The last time I checked (pretty recently, when I was writing my own circle routine in Axe code), pixel-plotting commands weren't clipped properly. I mean, I actually got a RAM clear once. Not good :(
does pixel-plotting means pxl-on/off/chg?

Yep. Though apparently it's fixed for the next version, so no worries :)

Glad that's fixed, although it wasn't a problem for me either.  Good job with all the bug fixes!

I had some bug-like things. When you do
Code: [Select]
Pause A/10
with A = 0, the calc freezes for a pretty long time.
There was another problem with zero, but I can't remember right now...
everytime that I was down, you would always come around, and get my feedback on the ground. (modified part from 'Seasons in the sun')

No matter how many errors are bothering you, always try to stay rel-Axe!

The HoMM project will be resumed as soon Axe 1.0.0 will be released!
Projects:
Code: [Select]
HoMM:   [==--------]    Project 'resumed': I'm suffering overwhelming new ideas being popped up in my dreams :P
tiDE:   [----------]    Explored and understood the main part of the code: just started writing a Tokenizer.

It's because when using Pause, for some reasons, it seems to substract 1 from the initial count. Pause 9000 will stop execution for 8999. What this means is that Pause 0 in fact equals 65535.
