Actually, storing to a variable might be valid syntax in the next version, that is "Hello"->P will be parsed the same as ("Hello")->P

Would that be necessary, though? It might make people think P is the string, and "Hello"→Str1:Str1→P doesn't add any extra code...

EDIT: Actually, wait, never mind. It's a great idea!

Something like this would be great.
You can already compile for MirageOS. Check out the Options menu :)

I think he meant built-in icon support, like you can define a description.
It's been requested before, I believe.

Spoiler For Projects:

My projects haven't been worked on in a while, so they're all on hiatus for the time being. I do hope to eventually return to them in some form or another...

Spoiler For Pokemon TI:
Axe port of Pokemon Red/Blue to the 83+/84+ family. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia:
My big personal project, an original RPG about dimensional travel and a few heroes tasked with saving the world.
Coding-wise, on hold, but I am re-working the story.

Spoiler For Finale's Super Insane Tunnel Pack of Doom:
I will be combining Blur and Collision Course into a single gamepack. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia Origins: Sky's Story:
Prequel to Nostalgia. On hold, especially while the story is re-worked.

That's a good idea, but I think it should not be added to Axe. Matching icons to each program would be too complicated.

??? In what way; I don't quite get what you mean. I think he's just looking for a way to just define the 16x16 icon in the header or something in a similar way that Sir's program gives you hex to paste into the first line of the program, but instead of using Sir's program, the new feature would allow you to do
Code: (for example) [Select]
.Program [hex for icon image] or something similar

Oh, like that. That sounds like a good idea. I was thinking that the icon wouldn't actually be in the program, which would make things complicated.

[19:19:29] <nemo> anyone know how to add a DCS description in an Axe program?

Is that possible in Axe? If not, maybe as new feature in one of the upcoming versions?

and an Icon. of course it can probably be done by combining a little inline ASM as instructed here.

Yeah true. It would be cool if it was implemented in Axe, though.

At first, I think it was not added because I suggested Quigibo to do some publicity for Axe by having the default icon, to attract more programmers, but I don't think this is needed as much anymore now that most Axe users put his credits in the readme.

Not sure about this one, but as a feature request, could sin( and cos( be changed so that they output numbers in the fixed-point format that's used by **? It would be a bit easier to work with.

Also, instead of this:

  • Allowing For( to take any mem location as a variable. For example, For({L1},0,255) would be really useful.

I have a different suggestion. How about POINTER→°VAR to set our own variables? It would be easier to work with than the one I posted earlier.

I would like a feature that changes the value of the org at that point.  This would be to get around the 8k code limit. :)

We can't use Pi symbol in Axe, can we?

If so, it would be cool if we could, because of a probable Formulum Axe Version and other programs too of course!

Nope, no pi. I think Quigibo was thinking of adding it for a different purpose, though (quickly saving as temporary mem).

We can also define pi like:
Code: [Select]
