As I've always said, I want a CtlgHelp style system.  The minus button could even be used instead of the plus. ;D
Not really, since 'W' is the letter on the minus key :( '0','.' or '_' are other options, though.
That's not how CtlgHelp works; if you're in a menu then you can press + on a command and see it's information. :)

Lol anyways i think we need Quigibo's input on the Fill() idea, and if it would take less code overall when using both setting and filling.

EDIT: And catalogue help would be cool :D But tricky o.O but i think its the best option.

EDIT2: Yeah Ztrumpet is right

Well, on the + key is the quotation mark, so no problems there. I'm just wondering '-' how it would work well...

yeah.  I'm guessing it's like in Omnicalc, where in the extra prgm commands you press + and it displays the parameters.

Yeah, that sounds like a better alternative to CtlgHelp's style.

yeah, I mean, all you really need is the parameters, those usually speak for themselves.

I was aware of that; I was just wondering how it '-' could work well in the catalog with 'W' on it...
Edit: Directed at ztrumpet's post.

Yeah, that's what I meant, it's in the catalog, not in the actual menus. I must have misunderstood what you said, sorry...

EDIT: Personally I think it'd be a better idea to use Omnicalc's syntax help, which is in the menu itself, instead of in the catalog, because a lot of catalog functions aren't used by Axe anyway.

Only about 20 of them are used by axe :P

Exactly. So it would be far less confusing if the syntax help were in the menus.

I can't wait for this to be in a somewhat finished stage (yeah, I'm getting off topic now :P)

I won't have to carry around 5 sheets of paper to refer to the multiple commands :D

The fill command needs only to look up the address once when using a variable pointer:

Fill(0->{A},10) will fill all the bytes from A+0 to A+10 with zeros.  This is becasue when storing to a variable pointer, it returns the address instead of what was stored there.  You usually have this situation when dealing with appvars.

As far as static addresses... it could be optimized if it were pure assembly, but the problem is that unless I could guarantee that all the arguments were constants (using look-ahead parsing), I would have to push and pop the extra argument and it would not be any more efficient that using the static address twice.
