Block Breaker
« on: March 04, 2011, 08:51:36 am »
I am proud to announce the release candidate of BlockBreaker 2!

However, I still have to make more levels, as there are only 8-9.
And, I was hoping if some of you guys want to take it out for a spin and see what you think about it.
As for as I know I smashed all the bugs, but nobody's perfect :)
It currently only works on the Ti-92Plus/V200, but if enough people beg I will try to port it to the 89 series.
I attached a zip of game to this post, so have fun!

EDIT:
89 version released!
Attached to this post as bbb89.zip.
Bug testing wanted!

So you decided to upload it.
* Stefan Bauwens imagines he doesn't know of anything.
I hope the people like it.
(Maybe you should upload an animation to show how it works)

Well, Manuel Bauwens is the one that teached me to program, Stefan Bauwens created a level, and Daniel Bauwens helped me with the readme (beside that I have still 3 other brothers and 8 sisters).
Thanks for the compliment!

<s>If you port it they will play...</s> Er I mean, I wouldn't mind a TI-89 port. :D My, that is a large family you have! I hope your house is big with plenty of bathrooms! ;D

I could make a Ti-89 port by making the sprites smaller, but I don't know if it still will look good.

About my Family, yes, we have a huge house (actually, an old factory), and no, we don't have yet enough  bathrooms, but we are working on it :)

Well, if you had the time why would you NOT make a 89 port?

Maybe you could make the screen scroll when you reach the edge or just transition to the next visible part of the screen?

That'd be cool to live in and old factory that had been converted into a house. :)

Well, that is a little hard to do since it is a basic program, but it is possible.
When I start on it I will try different things out.

It's cool, but also very very much work. We need to do everything our selves as we aren't the richest people :)
But it's fun, and I'm happy here :)

Ah ok, I don't really know too much about 68k BASIC. It's seems like it would be a lot of work to redesign all of the sprites though. :/

I can understand about the house as well. We are in the process of fixing up a lot of things in our house at the moment and my dad, brother and myself have been doing much of the work (what we are capable of anyway). :)

It isn't to hard to change the sprites, and I will only have to change little to the source :)
