Maybe I need a car of my own.
Here's the latest Day5 development, Hiways 89. It is a vertical driving game taking place on a four-lane highway
. I used knowledge gathered from coding Skyway, and optimized it a little - this means that I will also rewrite the Skyway engine at some point.
For more in-depth coverage see this

Please leave me ideas and feedback. Now to go back to reading my boring english book.

Some serious updates!

Screenshots:
Coding this particular game is very fun, mainly because I know exactly what I'm doing, having gathered some experience from past unfinished projects. I'll also add steering to each AI car, and police/army vehicles chasing you down if you run over too many pedestrians - yes there will be pedestrians trying to cross the highway
The game still runs at ~80+ FPS, but due to this speed the LCD on my calculator is quite blurry. It'll probably slow down considerably when I will add the aforementioned features, so that will heal with time.
As things progress, I plan on shooting a short video of it running live on a real TI-89
As always, leave any comments!

Yes, I did, but I got frustrated by the engine as it needs lots of cleaning up. After I'll clean up its code, I'll make a mini-game out of it, a 3D tunnel game.
I remember last summer/fall I worked on a game similar to Hiways, except it was a tunnel game called simpleRIDE where you avoided post-signs, and when I wanted to implement other cars, I did not know where to begin.
Hold on, I'll dig a screenshot!
As always, thank you all very much for your comments!

You definitely will, development is going fairly smoothly despite school work. Some Hiways updates will soon follow.
