As I said, well-deserved feature :) It's amazing what you did in pure BASIC.

You could have each age be a separate part of the program (load one on your calc at a time)
The opening sequence, like from the beginning to where you start actually playing, is so amazing. It gave me some very warm childhood memories. My dad and I used to play Myst a lot when I was little. I just liked the visuals.

@DT I doubt the 68k community will ever grow very much, since the audience for getting the calcs is significantly lower, and the interest in programming by then is decreased.

Well, my demo can be played nonstop. There's never a 'Congratulations' screen. Actually the original myst can be played after you 'won'. You can continue walking around and enjoy the views. :)

In case people end up forgetting they saw a part already, wouldn't it be better to let them know when they finished the game in case? :P

I guess it's fine either way, though. That game is pretty great.

Well, it's pretty difficult to give an ending. At the end of the original game you also end back up on the main island and may walk around. I do say when you found a clue that normally would do something more(but doesn't because of the demo) that it normally would.

Thanks by the way.

Ah ok. I never finished the original game so I don't know X.x. I was sure it ended like most other games.

A small update: Myst 89 can now work (properly) on the Voyage 200(and TI-92+ I presume) with this update downloadable here: www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/453/45337.html

The main thing this does is fixes the Text errors you get when reading a letter/book/message.(This is due to the fact that text font is smaller on the TI-89.
