If anybody remembers the RPG I was going to make, nicknamed DEM, will it's kinda being reborn with a new title, story, everything, except maybe the battle system.
What do you think of the sprite? I'm not a very good pixel artist and it takes forever to make sprites. Any advice on pixel art? They're suppose to by 16x32 4 lvl gs btw.
these were the original sprites I wanted to use, 24 x 32 i think.
If only black and white sprites were easier to make. I could use some 8x8 or 16x16 ones though.
Unfortunately I can't start this project until I finish r/p/s, which I need to finish asap.

Quality sprites take forever to make don't they?
If I were a better artist, perhaps I could churn out the entire set for the party of 4 in no time. I think the hardest views for me are side walking views and a battle ready stance. Oh well, this project won't begin like I said until later.
I want to use realtime ATB in this RPG, but I think that may still be beyond my level. 68k btw.

that sound cool, I would make the legs of the first one move a bit more, so it look more like he is walking than playing Dance Dance Revolution, and make the second one have its hairs move less . Also make the arms move a bit more in the two first sprites, other than that it look nice i think

I've been really busy lately. But occasionally I've been spriting for fun. Still kind of a work in progress but I wanted to know what you guys thought about my pixel arting. I admit that 32x32 gs is probably much easier than 8x8 and 16x16.

well, like I said, I'm probably not very good w/ the smaller sizes and b/w though I can probably try.
and ya, you're right, I'd probably be spriting @ a pace below 1 a day.
and the sprites might be incorporated into NanoCrisis though that depends on when I actually start working on it. I'll just update the pic when I can as you can see it's not very finished and I'm sure there can be more. I'd really appreciate it if someone better at pixel art could do other walking views/battle poses, though I'm probably going to have to end up doing it myself.

So I've been spriting again, and I figure I oughta ask people what they think about the characters before I start making animations.
What do you guys think? Any improvements?
And do they look like they fit their roles? which ones are so uncool you'd never choose them?

magic dude, to me, looks the coolest, but the melee dude was a close second. They all look good. Keep up the great work!
