Shadow Falls is boolsoft's attempt to TI-68k RPGs, featuring beautiful graphics and a interesting story. This alpha version is very uncomplete; you can walk around an speak to people.

The fights are now included (in a not very advanced way, yet). All I can provide for the moment is this screenshot, which doesn't look that good (on my real V200, it looks better and doesn't flicker...)

// Edit: removed screenshot, see below for more infos

It looks very professional, especially the battle screen.

Say, does it use the ExtGraph tilemap engine?

Yes, most of the graphic aren't made by myself (some were ported from the FF series, some were fetched from RPG community sites (e.g. the fighting background)).

And no, it doesn't use the TileMap engine. Everything was developped by myself :)smile.gif

oh nice, you all wrote routines by yourself? Are most in C or are some in 68k ASM? I'll try to play the new demo and post the news article about AUra/Shadow Falls/Zelda soon but first I need to resize the above screenshot with the GIMP  to fit it in the frontpage :)smile.gif

2. They are all witten in C. The source will be avialable when the first public version is finished.

hmm nice, maybe you could send me a new screenshot 240x128 because now that I look at it my pentium II will not be able to handle the resizing  :crazy:fou.gif

Allright, this screenshot is 240x128 and has got a better quality than the one above. It is quite large, though.

OK, there is no new download available now, but I've just taken a screenshot of the enhanced battle engine. Other things I added:
 - Partially added 2nd city
 - Added another fighting background
 - Save/Load game at inns and at home
 - Enhanced menu

Perahps I will upload a beta (or just another alpha <_<dry.gif ) when these things are prooved to work and I added some other features I have in mind.

Oh, yeah, here's the screenshot:

I don't where the battle backgrounds are taken from, but I usually get them from RPG community sites like http://www.toolkitzone.com/ . Some of the gfx of those sites are ripped and some are done by poeple themself.

There will be 1-2 monsters and the main character. In the second chatper, you will probably able to fight with 2 characters... :)smile.gif

Anyway, I'm still thinking about including magic spells and elements so that fights won't get boring...
